5 tips I wish I had known when I started playing Heroes of the Storm

Recommended Picks for new players based on role:
Tank: Johanna, Muradin, Mei
Healer: Uther, Anduin, Lili
Bruiser: Leoric, Dehaka, Sonya
Burst Damage: Jaina, Kael'thas, Li-Ming
Sustain Damage: Raynor, Zul'jin, Valla
**I would avoid everything in the Melee Assassin and Support category as a new player, you can cover everything you need to cover without worrying about these 2 categories.

Great info! Wish I had known these myself! I would say that if I had to categorize melee and ranged assassins as burst vs sustain, it feels like melee assassins are very bursty, not sustained damage, and ranged are more sustained. I'm about to head over to your maps guide to check them out! I hope you mention things about mercenaries because I always felt very confused as to when to get them when I started, and still feel a bit of that now.
