Play for a little bit kinda like a warm up with your aim assist off either online or in a warm up game then turn it back on and you’ll feel real snappy and more on target

Just me or is aim incredibly clunky this year? Also is cod skill natural or is it actually possible for a 1.5kd noob (myself) to improve and try play for higher ranks

This, I feel like I'm fighting to keep my aim on enemies? I've tried dynamic, normally played on linear, read that standard is the go to. But definitely feels weird.

I started playing COD on MnK back in 2022. I took a break and came back in late 2023. I don’t remember much of my experience on MW2, but I know MW3 has been pretty rough at some points. I play because the game is very easy to play casually and there is the occasional pop off game. But the aim assist in the game is very noticeably strong in MW3. Whether that be in warzone or multiplayer. The way I think about the aim assist “problem” is the lack of human error. Everyone should have human error because we are all human. But it is very apparent that controller players have their human error almost completely negated even when their target is using the tools to make their opponent miss (sliding, jumping, strafing). As a MnK player, it is PAINFULLY obvious when you miss your shots (heartbreaking every single time). Its easy not to rage quit because I am aware that I am not perfect. When I do hit perfect shots, it feels very rewarding. Controller players are given perfect shots far more than they should and that is the problem. A common theme in my WZ and multiplayer games is dying after hitting 3-4 bullets on an opponent. Essentially meaning they were 1 bullet from death. Controller players are given that “extra bullet” through aim assist. Consistently. It shouldn’t be happening in every gunfight. When the controller players, who most definitely need aim assist, make a mistake, they should be punished just like MnK players are. The instantaneous 0ms tracking and unlimited range on aim assist removes the punishment for human error. This is also very apparent because of how much easier it is to play hardcore on MnK. Hitting your first shots in hardcore means that you get the kill whereas regular matches, your natural human error on MnK is punished by the aim assist that controller players have. Where is the punishment for errors on controller? There is certainly a bias, but I cant believe that people will say there are advantages to playing MnK in this game. I assume those people have seen Metaphor beam people from all distances and think that is the normal MnK experience. (side note: my reticles bounce and recoil but I do not see that on Metaphors videos. Not to mention his avoiding playing in tournaments or lan. Do with that what u will.) But in reality, the MnK players are average joes just like the controller players are. I guess the developers balance aim assist up to the estimated skill ability of MnK, but they haven’t done a good job. The stats show that the best MnK players are closer in accuracy to an average controller player than the best controller players. Where is the balancing if there is such a disparity in accuracy? As it stands, a slide cancel and a jump strafe is not gonna be enough to out play aim assist as people suggest. I’d like BO6 to adjust aim assist until the accuracies of both inputs are close enough to each other. If this isnt the case, I’d like the omni directional movement to be a valid tool to outplay your opponents. Instead of complaining about aim assist? I would much rather spend time perfecting my movement so the playing field is even. Right now, its not even worth it when the controller players hit all their bullets while im sprinting full speed and sliding across a line of sight. Compared to a MnK player being able to hit 75-80% of those bullets. Another thing I have noticed in MW3 is the ghost bullets. Why does it feel as if my bullets aren’t registering? Been trying to level up the KVD enforcer this weekend for camo challenges and it is insane how many bullets wont register on stationary targets. I plan on a lan connection and usually have the lowest ping in the lobby. Ive heard metaphor mention “bad servers” but i dont play enough to know what hes talking about. Again, hopefully they adjust aim assist or raise the movement skill cap considerably

Bro the right stick compared to the mouse you get to use? You can easily control where your aim is going. On a tiny right stick you can’t do fuck all in comparison. Plus cod has always been a controller game. If you want to play mnk get on tarkov, siege, val or cs
