I started dressing up to do mundane things (grocery shop, dentist office, friend house) so I could practice. Helps a lot. Also I started picking an item and creating a whole look around it. Challenging but helps me get creative and wear pieces I normally wouldn’t reach for.

I had to purge my entire closet about 300 pieces of clothing, and shoes and bags. I realized I didn't like anything in my closet. I am now rebuilding so I am starting with the basics and hopefully soon I can get to the fun stuff. I have some issues with my feet from work so I have to wear different shoes so I have to find cute flats that are wide in the front. No heels.

Sending this video straight to one of my nieces, if she won’t listen to me hopefully she will listen to you. First of all she wouldn’t buy any clothes, now she’s buying a ton of stuff she likes but she’s not shopping with intention so has no outfits 🤦🏾‍♀️. Then she has me on the phone trying to help her get dressed. Fix it Jesus 😂😂😂. She NEEDS this series

So glad you mentioned finding your style takes practice like anything else. I find myself thinking that people that dress so well are just smarter in that regard. That they just know. But, you’re right. Practice makes perfect. We have to put effort/work into it.

The tip to practice your outfit is great advice. I have been doing this for my work week outfits. I choose a color palette for the week and build 5 or 6 outfits. My mornings are much calmer.

Great video as always gorgeous! I know my style and mostly wear all black for years. I don’t have tons of clothes but I have accessories that change things up. I tend to have clothes for dressing up. I like to dress up. I am very organized. Shoes are a challenge as I don’t wear heels anymore and was all over the chunky shoes trend. No one will pry my Prada loafers away from me. I gasp only have 1 purse and it’s a tote. I am not a purse person. I need to work on this asap. I love sunglasses and big necklaces especially chokers. There is literally no place to shop where I live in person and I don’t have a car. On line shopping is so frustrating I buy and return like a pro. I work on my looks weekly. So I a ready to go when I need to. Sometimes I miss like last week I was overheated as it wasn’t as cold as I thought and I couldn’t change. You are fabulous x a zillion! Hug’s xoxo

Pinterest is so helpful. I used it to create my holiday looks which helped me not to over buy- I realised I had pieces to create my prefer looks which are my style

Lady!!!! I must have tried on my entire closet stying everything on the weekends when I was in my 20’s. Had the time on my hands and I loved every minute of it. Definitely one of the best ways to find what you like in your wardrobe and purge what you don’t. Excellent video 💕 1,000 thumbs up 👍🏽

I love this. So many times I have the clothes. The blouse will look beautiful in the store. In my mind I see how I will wear it. But then I’m stuck for just one outfit. Excellent to style it 3 ways and when there isn’t any pressure to rush to go somewhere. Which is the way I do this in the morning before work and end up just repeating the same look. Although it looks good it would certainly give off a different energy styled differently. Love this. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤❤❤❤

I love your style and your taste is exquisite. 4-5 years ago I lost about 100lbs and had to buy an entirely different wardrobe, been maintaining ever since. When I was big I always chose clothing that looked and fit the best on my body first and foremost, but my style has always been feminine and classic. I love timeless pieces and I'm not too big on trends just for the sake of them, but I still want to look youthful.

Absolutely outstanding Janae. My style keeps evolving but I don’t purge often enough. I need to. I definitely play dress up. My biggest achievements have been developing a “ look book” of outfits complete with shoes, handbags, jewelry for when I travel. It’s work but when I’m on the vaca, I’m stylish, I can be flexible, I get ready faster and there is less pressure. I just need to apply it to everyday and do a serious purge!! Thank you!

The most important tip you mentioned is knowing yourself and assessing your lifestyle to figure out if an outfit is meant to be replicated or just good to look at. I'm now good at discerning the 2 and stopping myself from buying things I see looking good on others. Also, if it's not comfortable and can be worn multiple ways I don't want it.
