For those not familiar, the Positron Ejector is basically an area denial weapon for space. Picture trying to drive from goal post to goal post in a football field while I lob tennis court sized fields of grenades at you. If you learn to fly circles around an asteroid you will rule the skies.

Honestly I find the best use for it is to simply fly straight towards an approaching ship or boost after a ship moving away from you. It can also be pretty useful for when you’re shooting a target moving perpendicular to you due to its wide spread

The annoying this with the last one (for console) is that if you have it on you cant slow down and control your direction and if you but it on toggle you cant land

just a tip i got off another vid. when placing your tech, put the most important things you don't want broken in your tech slots. weapons, warp, launch, etc. when you go through a black hole or to a new galaxy, that will break most if not all of you tech not in the tech slot. and if you know you are going to a new galaxy, equip a junk multi tool and ship.

using explorer type ship for battle while making guide for combat are you serious? tip 0: get FIGHTER ship type or INTERCEPTER because they have much more dmg bonus

Not everyone plays with multiple ships. Im flying around in a tiny sentinel fighter with maxed out blackmarket infraknives and a phase beam as a space pirate. You won't see me on planets harvesting materials when I can just take them from someone heading to sell them. This little guy would be toast if I happened across him. I play multiple ways just depending on the day. Some days I'm nanite farming. Others I'm just a murderer lol. 😂

Before the newest update I would have said they were about useless. But with NMS Endurance there is a lot of functionality of the freighters now. I will be making a video soon about everything you can and should be doing with your freighters. Thanks for Watching!

Expand its slots,build the infrastrctures that you need inside (expecially the Storage Boxes and the Teleporter Gate) so when you travel with your ships you can recall it anywhere you go and don't need to hop to your bases for the needed stuff/Mats,a travelling Base basically.

Honestly Space combat in NMS is a joke, even a C class ship properly fitted can suffice. All the weapons do their job I use mainly Cyclotronic Balllista and Rockets but even Photon Cannon can do (with Ballista taking down the shields is quicker anyway) does not require particular skills, enemy ships are paper stuff.

I've been using my same c class hauler since I found it. All I do is sit in one place holding L2 looking at the enemy. Photon cannons till the shield is down. One rocket to destroy. Just tank their shots.

Cycle through your weapons constantly so nothing overheats. Use the beam to strip away enemy shields and recharge yours. Rockets do a quit nasty bit of damage and then you do something else. The ejector is good for close work. The ballista is good to slow them down and make them vulnerable. The cannon is like a hammer, it's a reliable tool to destroy anything.

On max settings just winning the 1st frigate battle is hard. You gotta do that before you can add a squadron.

Hi Colmatt, First off, your videos are great, and much appreciated! I do have a couple of questions, if you don't mind (I'm new to this game): 1. At 4:32 in the video, you allude to upgrades that you have for the infra-knife accelerator. In my game, I can only add three upgrades before I am overloaded. You show four upgrades, two S-class, one X-class and on B-class. Is this related to the class of ship you have (I currently have an A-class fighter)? 2. In addition. you mention the other 'three more upgrades in this technology.' I believe these are the three bordered in yellow: The S-class Supercharged Electron Loom, the S-class Hypersonic Impulse Nozzle and the S-class Hypersonic Plasma Exhaust. Is this correct? And, how did you acquire these? Thank you and best of luck with your videos.

This is just what I have seen. Not entirely sure, but, there are upgrades that you can learn to make in the game, usually via the anomaly. The upgrades don't seem to count. So the three upgrades are bought from a merchant in a space station, but some tech can be upgraded with ugrades learned from playing the storyline or through purchasing with nanites at the anomaly. So usually tech can only handle three upgrades, not counting an extra upgrade that you get from the anomaly. Second question... the upgrades bought at space stations have all sorts of names. Just go to a space station and go to the merchant selling spaceship upgrades.

How do you get your starship screen to have tabs for technology and cargo like that 4:24. All of my slots are on one screen.

That was how the inventory screens were prior to the newest big update (4.0) i unfortunately don’t think you can revert it to the old ui.

The squadron always seems to get in my way I'll be about to take down a ship in the next thing you know one of my squadron mates is directly in front of me so I'm hitting his shield instead I usually dismiss them during a battle it seems like the battles last longer with them. I mainly use living ships for fighting I'm not sure if there's an upgrade for regular starships that will recharge your Shields upon impact like the living ships have

Yes! i always have the same problem with my squad. they dive in front of my shots. on the flip side tho, some of the enemy focus on them instead of me.

@@chrisspray666 grafted eye with the shield replenishing upgrades for the living ships you're pretty much invincible as long as you're able to get a shot on one of the enemy Shields doesn't matter if you have eight enemy shooting at you the whole time

@@krookedliptv9852 thanks for the tip. i don't have a living ship yet myself, they are so ugly i just never bothered. I saw someone post a glitch that could give your living ship the look of another ship, if its a stable glitch i might go for a living ship and just swap its appearance.
