A quick add to your tip #2 quick waypoint if your marking ore deposits say gold /gps Gold and you mark a second deposit you just need to type /gps Gold and it will name the second deposit Gold_2 then Gold_3 and so on.

You are a saint. Ever consider doing a video on efficient air locks? Perhaps with Whips air lock script? Never quite understood it.

Thanks Ghost. Air locks are tricky thing. A fun project to work on though. Shame about all the timer blocks needed for it to work automatically. Keen should just make a single block that can handle multiple steps. I might come back to it some day. All the best to you Ghost.

nothing to add except a mod named "BUILDINFO" veeeery useful to get detail on any block and retrieve something into your list.

Haha! I'm not sure, the timing must be just right? I've got some beginners tutorials on my page that cover the very basics. An extremely simple rover, mining ship and then in to a better mining ship that will last anyone a while. Have a scan through the 'beginners guide'. There may be something useful there? I also explain in detail the build planner and even a mod that acts like a workshop assistant (nanobot build and repair). Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see a tutorial on. I'm open to suggestions.

Great videos. As a total noob to the game, I find your videos the most informative of everyone, and I've been watching everyone. Good job. Also, can you maybe explain planets? Like how to distinguish a moon from Europa, and Mars from a moon? And also the distances, and where they are? I find the space travel still mind boggling...

Thank you so much Danie! That's really nice feedback I appreciate that. Now planets aren't an easy thing to distinguish. Alien planet, mars and earthlike are the easy ones. As a new player I'd experiment with the spectator cam to have a sneaky look at the planet close up. Also, while you're there, look back at your home base gps marker to get an idea of how far it is. Most planets are jump drive distances away. But the journey, stopping to gather more ice, is great fun. There's no easy way to be able to say where each planet is unfortunately. Take time out of survival mode and use spectator cam and quick GPS markers to get yourself a sky map. I hope this helps a little bit? All the best to you Danie.

I have a lot of ideas for tutorials... how o built a big ship, how to take over a NPC ship, how to build a warship... you pick :))

Hi sherry. I already have a tutorial on building your first miner. And another on getting to space and back. Have a look at the Beginner's Guide playlist. Full cargo container could be various weights depending on what it's full of. Difficult to demonstrate the ideal number of thrusters as you'll also have a ship connected to the cargo container which could be any size and weight. Interesting experiment though. Building a big ship would need to be a series. I like the idea though! Working on the turbines demo now.

On your focused tutorials, one area you might consider is the ownership/faction parts of the game, fairly confusing

Hmmm. Can you give me an example of which parts are confusing? Just so I get a better idea of what might help.

@@TallmanBradGameplay I guess the Q is the utility of joining an NPC faction, and the consequences. There is a first miner base on the planet for instance!. It seems to me that factions are more for multi-player. Maybe there isn't a tutorial in this LOL.

Ah I see what you mean. Yes, faction are for multiplayer really. But you can upset some npc factions, by shooting at them, which might please other factions as they are enemies. The happier a faction is with you, the lesser likely they are to attack you on sight. You can get into the 'red' or the 'green' with any faction. Npc factions can fight each other and might just side with you if you ever found yourself in a situation where there were both hostile and friendly factions in your area.

Have you noticed the message "reputation raised (or lowered) with xyz faction"? When you shoot at or grind down npc ships or bases? You can check who you've upset in the faction section of the menu. I don't find it's something I ever really think about. I want to shoot all npcs haha.

I play on xbox , how do i get the unknown signals i see on YT vids

They might not be a thing on xbox. I've never tried it on console. I know there are a few differences but the core gaming is very similar. There is a setting on pc to torn those on or off when you create your world the first time. Worth checked NG a new game to see if it's an option.
