Great tips and I get what your saying about chasing the hype but but for me I try really hard to stay on my lane and pick only the colors I like and specific manufacturers that I like. For example I don't like Nissan cars in general except the skyline but that was way before the hype. Watching best motoring I'm playing Gran Turismo really exposed me to the skyline name. Another tip that helps me is also just collecting no more than 2. One to open and one to keep carded. Last it would be trading is your friend so even though you found a Datsun 510 super but don't like it use it for trade bait 😂. Glad your restarting your collection just hope you don't dump to much money and go back to purchasing the same pieces you sold. Trade up if you have to. 😎🤘

It obviously doesn't compare to the AutoArt but I have a nice Majorette of that rally Impreza with a little more detail than the Hot Wheels version. I also have a 1/32 version from Bburago that was sold as an easy-to-assemble diecast kit.

I just looked at the Majorette, it has a decent amount of detail on the outside and not terrible wheels by Majorette standards but it doesn't have an interior. Ah, well, it doesn't really matter because it has dark windows anyway but I like my cars to have an interior. At least the Bburago has a great amount of interior detail for 1/32 scale.

Another good tip I’ve found is hunting cars at thrift stores. A lot of them will sell entire bags of die cast cars for $2-$5 dollars. There will be times I will buy an entire bag of cars just for one Hot Wheel and sell the rest either on eBay or locally and make my money back and then some.

I think I made a decent profit from my latest hot wheels haul!!!! I recently gotten a Spettaclore Lamborghini countach and the remake, a Volvo chase from Autostresse, a Bugatti Chiron zamak, a vintage red Twin mill, a Bugatti divo matchbox, and the American scene Amazon exclusive (I think) container box set. And a few weeks ago I scored a High voltage from Acceleracers that it’s value is pretty good. I don’t call myself a Nissan fan but I think the off-road modified Nissan Skyline might be worthy to be in my collection.

No frills sells them for 2 bucks i buy a few every time for my nephew now i have like 20 for myself too. I doubt they worth anything but they are cool
