The girl who got chased by dogs... what lapse in judgment made her think it was smart to approach a pack of strange dogs in an unfamiliar place... I’m just saying
@keliilek2514
@keliilek2514 3 жыл бұрын
Very true... and its people like that girl and her thinking that they can pet anyone's and any dog , (which u should not and cannot) which might lead to getting bit by that dog not bc its a "bad" dog or evil, its called a defense mechanism bc that animal doesn't know u or trust u! Thus resulting in the dog possibly and probably getting put down due to human stupidity, that's what will happen in America at least, don't forget about being sued too the dog owner that is. Humans need to stop this thinking that its their right to pet any dog that isn't theirs, not every dog wants to be pet also.

Honestly like I love animals and I don’t think there’s a such thing as a bad one but... when she was like “why would such girls and boys do this :(“ I wanted to smack her in the face. There’s being a dog lover and then there’s being totally stupid.

I'm ashamed to say I've done something similar on a trip i Vietnam. I approached a pack of stray dogs and they growled at me, I backed away and they stopped. It was very stupid of me. That girl though...the fact that she insisted makes me want to slap her in the face.

Greatness Jones Right!? Dogs are USUALLY sweet, but any animal needs to be treated with respect and caution, domesticated or not. People think they can just ... pet every dog. And ... No.

Seriously!! I’ve worked with dogs for years as well and there’s no way this person has worked with them. You don’t even need to have worked with them to know not to approach strays, let alone when you have experience. Like those people who say “oh he’s wagging his tail he’s happy” 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Yeah, I don't think we regard dogs in Canada that much differently than in Florida, but I've been bitten twice in my childhood and have a scar to show for it. I still absolutely love dogs, but I have a healthy respect for their capabilities. I've come across many an aggressive dog since then, too. You have to know when to keep your distance.

Not even in a foreign country. She's obviously rich and sheltered af and has never been to poor or rural parts of the US either because there are packs of stray dogs there too. Also, I can't stand poverty tourism. This girl is lucky that her encounter with the dogs is the worst thing that happened to her walking dirt paths alone on Thailand. What a damn fool. I straight up laughed when they started biting her right. And she called them "good boys and girls".

Most people don't know how to fight proper. Those who haven't trained in mma usually only know how to swing and be bigger. They were out numbered by double. It doesn't matter if they were good fighters or not. Also, you don't have to know how to fight to be man. If you know how to fight, like proper self defense, you're likely part of first responders, who were trained, military, or actually took self defense classes. Swinging your fists around and kicking doesn't mean you know how to fight.

But in her defense, if she grew up in an area where dogs were always raised well, she may not have ever encountered them being violent before. I like how the dog one calls herself a 'serious' dog person, yet is baffled that feral or aggressive dogs exist, particularly in countries where dogs are often still used to actually work, often without much input from a human. Every 'serious' dog person I know knows you don't approach packs of owner-less dogs in the wilderness of a foreign country. She's not a serious dog person; she's an 'omg doggo, omg floofy, all dogs want to be cuddled!!!!!!' type and us actual 'serious dog people' find those types insufferable.......

A growing subset of humanity are now a domesticated animal themselves. These people have absolutely no connection to the natural world or themselves, their entire existence has been spent within an artifical and highly managed environment. Honestly, it's incredible. They've been reduced even further than multigenerational zoo animals, who at least still have their instincts.
@ravenwesnidge6464

TBH I almost always use phrases such as "doggos" and the like. But I've also worked with dogs, my grandparents had Rottweilers when I was growing up, I encountered a lone dog with no owner in sight as a child (he ended up walking away while I stood still and quiet without making eye contact), and have been bitten a few times as well, so I've grown to understand dog behavior and their thought processes. I always ask for permission before petting someone else's dog, I know to leave a dog alone if they're growling or raising their hackles, and I would NEVER approach a pack of wild dogs like she did. She was idiotic to expect a wild dog to behave like a "good boi" and get close to them so she can pet them.

I’m literally rolling my eyes listening about this person in story 2 talking about how people not in western countries like US and Europe treat dogs differently 🙄 Literally rolled my eyes even more when she was surprised the guy didn’t want her money 🙄🙄🙄 Are every poor person in non western countries only want to be nice to privileged foreigners so they can get their money? My background is Thai and I know that some of my people are just simply nice people and they don’t help you because they want some foreign money 🙄🙄🙄

Blows my mind how clueless that person was, I mean the last time I wanted to pet wild cats abroad was when I was about 7 years old and didn't yet know better. I love all animals but I know to stay clear of wild cats and dogs while traveling because they can carry all kinds of diseases, not just rabies. And even a domesticated but possibly abandoned or stray animal can bite if they are in distress. Unbelievable. That person's attitude about everything was so weird.

I know everyone is angry at the girl in the 2nd story but the 3rd story all I could think about when they said the long grass was Jurassic Park and them saying "don't go into the long grass" lol then I thought of a raptor coming out not a snake.

I can relate to the dog story. And it’s definitely not just in foreign countries, it’s right here in the U.S. Specifically Southwest Arizona on the Navajo Reservation where there are no animal control laws and I got bit there once while doing an early morning jog. Owners don’t spay or neuter their dogs so imagine how many run in packs. Be safe in places you’re not familiar with.

I love dogs too and i speak to my dog in that annoying high pitch voice a lot but not always and definitely not in front of people besides my family lol and I definitely don’t do it to strange dogs or even approach them even in the states. Unless they seem nice.

Story where the person gets a wild dog bite: firstly an idiot for wanting to even pet a stray, unknown dog! 2ndly if the Thai man doesn't accept your money he's a better man than the dog bite victim! Accept that he gave you a ride to hospital

The doge story. Remember is not the dog is how they been treated. Yes in the USA or Europen countries we treat them humanly but in countries like the one you visited they are poor, as you said yourself, they do not look at them the same way we do. And I am very glad you survive the bite, could have been much worse.

I am an animal rescuer and I've dealt with many severely abused animals as well as ferals (been bitten many times as well which is fine with me if it ends in saving a life). If ever approaching feral animals, bring food, a net, trap, ect. If you aren't experienced in it, don't try. That girl made a mistake. They were not likely diseased, she was making another mistake there to assume the bite would harm her (ive been bitten so many times and never needed medical even when I had pussing abscesses- it was just from bacteria). If she didn't intent to feed or help the dogs, she should have left them be.
