I just found you while researching the Cornell Notes system that I learned about after purchasing a note pad referring to the system. I am very impressed with your teaching! I learn more through seeing than words or listening. Thank you for sharing your skills!! I have a book on Hashimotos disease and purchased the Audible version to listen and follow along in the book. Putting these together with your visual ideas, I hope to get a better grasp of the biology of my situation. I am excited to use your ideas! Thank you!

Terrific "how-to's"!!! Well done!!! Thank you! I am a closet wanna-be drawer - but I don't covet the ability to produce hyper-realistic art - I have always just wanted to be able to just draw ideas - things - images - quickly and simply... You've given me the vocabulary for it - I didn't know what to call it - "Sketchnotes!" - I've wanted to learn "sketchnoting!"... I stumbled across you and your terrific videos just trying to figure out how to draw an articulate *stick figure* for heaven's sake - one that conveyed action and purpose.... SO your stick figure tutorial was a revelation!!! lol.... SO HELPFUL...!! Also *especially* helpful is watching YOU do it! You're so engaging, helpful, encouraging.... Great great work.... So grateful...

You are a good teacher, clear and concise. I would to have you illustrate each of those five ideas with the video. the five concepts might stick better and give us an example of what kind of associations would be universal, since you e been practicing his longer. I’ve been an educator for over 30 years. I have always sketch-noted for myself in my own learning but am only now getting bolder about in my teaching.

Hi Doug. You have a great way of explaining things so well. You can be a great teacher. I have a question for you, it's easy to draw something that interests you or you can imagine but how should I draw of which I am not interested but have to do bcaz its included in my curriculum like information systems control management.. I am student of course Chartered accountancy.

I've learnt German for over 2 years and still have difficulties remember new and advanced vocabularies, especially verbs. I want to build up a verb list but it seems impossible since it's hard to visualise and draw them with only 1 or 2 pictures. Can you suggest me some ways to illustrate and learn verbs effectively? Your videos are very useful. Thanks a lot.

Hi Doug. Some time ago you share what I think was a Google site with hundreds of small animations showing how to draw items. Could you remind me what site that was? Thanks

Hey great course. Have you thought of using the depth & complexity icons to represent different groups of ideas. Originally there were 11 icons (big idea, trends, change overtime, ethics, questions etc.) but the icons have expanded to 24. So far I've used the icons as mental promps but I see thier use in sketchnotes

First thought: grab a big stack of index cards and capture one idea per card (in sketchnote form), then spread them all out on the floor or a big table, and see if you can organize it all in a way that makes sense to you. I'll keep thinking on it :)
