Excellent video! I didn't realize I was gaining experience, but when I worked for a non-profit I planned fundraisers, conferences, and trainings on a statewide basis. I was an event planner and didn't even know it!

thank you! I laughed at myself at 01:50 because I have done about everything possible related to events and I am just about to start my career as an event planner! I used to think I am wasting my time without focusing on one job haha

Most of my earlier experience came from contract work with experiential marketing and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I met so many people and learned so many things, many of which I dont belueve I would have learned elsewhere! Great tips on gaining more experience! I live the comment about leaving your ego at the door!

Hey good evening. Do you think the Events industry (including E Management+coordinators) is dominated by women? If so, why? I've noticed this while browsing linkedin. Thanks

may be because it requires a high attention to details. mostly i enjoy working with women event planners than men, men seem to act non sense at some point. that's my experience
