Very helpful, Tim. Not so much because I haven't heard these tips before, but because you supplied such good examples. Thanks for sharing!

The Olympus 40-150 Pro lens is excellent for bird photography. Have personally taken several terrific shots right thru my kitchen window on a tripod with a remote while eating breakfast. Seriously !!

Hi, I just bought your book on bird photography but it didn’t said anything about camera settings for Olympus camera only Canon.
@GodwitMediaLLC5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for buying the book I shot with Canon when I write it so those were the examples I had. I still think the book is relevant since it covers just about everything a beginning to intermediate bird photographer needs to know. There are a couple of videos specific about settings for the olympus camera and there will be more

Excellent. More snd more bird photographers are switching to high performance mirrorless systems. Sony A9 and now a7RIV with the 100400 and 200600 are the ultimate gear but terribly expensive. Your gear seems to be viable alternative. Thank you.

The Olympus micro 4/3's system is lightweight, more affordable, and yes a very viable system. It's not for everyone, but really works for the way I shoot!

Bt the way, your photo of the Loon is incorrect. It is not a Common Loon, it is a Red-throated Loon.

The loon pic is just too orange not natural even in morning light
