Styling and getting hair to hold in High humidity places??

Thanks for the tip on using hair oil! When best to apply is something I was never sure about. I've mainly used it to smooth some frizz after drying.

Since dying at home, always natural dry when not going anywhere...heat very quickly, and then Velcro rollers.. I use am inexpensive hair oil from the African American line that smells very nice and has castor oil in it..I also condition my ends before shampooing with it for ten minutes and then shampoo..I also use an African American line shampoo which seems to have a lot of moisturizers. I use an amount the size of a quarter or two pumps. I color with Sally age beautiful colors. My hair is the longest it's been in 6 years!

HI, thank you for the tips. I remember a few years ago you had a coupon code for ESalon. Do you still have it? I would like to try them. Thanks.

Hi Sylvia. Great video. Your hair always looks so pretty. The shine I love. Is the hair oil you mentioned in the show more description the one you use? Your hair looks very shiny. And do you use it on wher hair from root to end?. Sometimes I use a few drops of argan oil from mid to ends. Is that a good one? I have used oleplex over the years, but it can get quite expensive for the amount you get. Do you know anything about Sally's beauty supply's bond repair. It's a third less but more comes in the bottle. I also highlight and color my roots. I like to use the best products I can afford when it comes to my hair. Thanks in advance. Have a great Easter weekend.

I’ve let my gray grow out and now it’s not as smooth and shiny. Would a gloss help to smooth the hair?

Do you use hair oil? That will help with hydration.

I haven’t found anything yet for after shower hydration for super dry hair. My whole top layer is sooooooo dry and tangles. I’ve tried leave ins and oils. One or the other or both, nothing really works. So frustrating. Even the k18 and #3 olaplex, matrix and caviar leave in conditioner. Nope. Tangles. So annoying. Even use ultra hydrating biolage. I pre poo oil. I mean. Nothing works

I have fine thin hair so I try to wash every other day. But my problem is 2nd day hair. I put it in a bun at night and sleep on a satin pillowcase but my hair gets so frizzy the next day even if I put oil on the ends. Do you have any suggestions for that?
@ThatDamnChann Жыл бұрын
This! 🤌 my biggest issue as well
@Ellebangs Жыл бұрын
Do you color process your hair? It could be damage and not actual frizz. Treating the real hair issue is what will “cure” the frizz. Or it could simply be that the hair wasn’t fully dry and frizzes up later.
@ThatDamnChann Жыл бұрын
@ellebangs how would one heal over processed hair?

I just went to the link for custom shampoo and conditioner and it says it's 67$ (which for me at least is not affordable but thought I may give it a try) and once I clock get the ritual the total changes to $84. Why is that?

Love your channel, I am aware of how important shampoo and conditioner is, however the brand i was using needed to update, ugg, over the last six years I have tried so many and given them away. Is there any chance you have a sample of your product? Thanks

Hi Sylvia, thank you very much for sharing your hair styling knowledge with us. I have a question for you. I was wearing my hair naturally curly for the last 5 years, but have recently gotten tired of that look. Soooooo I’m back wearing it straighter via the flatiron. I use heat protection on my wash day but on the days I don’t wash my hair I might need a touch up on the frizz from overnight. My question is if we’re supposed to use heat protection every time we use the flatiron how do we do so on dry hair that we are touching up?
@Ellebangs Жыл бұрын
This is a great question. I would use a heat protectant every time I use heat on my hair. An argan oil is a natural heat protectant and a great oil for touch ups on second or third day touch ups.
@priscillanieto3322 Жыл бұрын
I would also get an actual flat iron/heat protection spray, particularly one that comes in an aerosol can. Those tend to be lighter weight & perfect for putting on dry hair.

Love your videos! But I gotta say I was really let down by eSalon; I ordered color or tried to, did the quiz, had to pay after doing the quiz which I didnt want to do but for the price and after your rec I thought id give it a chance... I sent photos when they followed up with me and then they said they were unable to do it (fine I appreciate the honesty) but then theres no mention of refund, they ghost me, and then they did they sent me something that was not at all what I wanted but I never get it so I dont know if it was actually even sent. The money is a bit of an irritation but it night be more the principle that is hard to just let go So needles to say still havent done my hair and the eSalon thing was maybe a month or more back by now Hopefully I can figure out how to do it myself from going back through some of your videos again, wish me luck!

Never apply oil to wet hair if you’re going to apply heat after. That’s how you fry in a skillet…
