As a new notary signing agent, I take this job serious. I am not chasing the money, it's about helping people. I find this job very rewarding. I have made some mistakes along the way and I was very hard on myself about it, but I did learn from it. Checking and re-checking your documents pays off. You may think you did everything right and not have to check, but every time that I checked, I found something. Thank God it was always an easy fix.

I have heard so many horror stories of notaries and I cannot believe it. I don't want to go to jail. This job is not a play thing to me. Again, thank you for your videos. I am in a different state, but they have helped me tremendously. Never stop learning.

Thank you for this video. To me, it's about having good customer skills. Being self-employed doesn't mean you can treat people however way you want. You can, but it doesn't get you anywhere. I was taught at a very young age that customers are always right even when they are not.

When getting a call using your thoughts here, someone says they did not get the W-9 back. You suggested that if you checked and saw, none was ever sent. My question is, we are not keeping these forms; how can you check to see if the W-9 was or was not there?

So typically, when you conduct a signing, you are emailed or download the PDF of the documents and you are to print them. You can always review the PDF you were sent to verify if the document was in fact in the PDF you were to print.
