Super walk through of the Pro II features, and great images. Loved the final set on the floor with the cut-out light.

As an experienced photographer, it is always good to view things from your point of view and I am always learning something. Thanks for keeping is simple and without the rush that some of the younger folks seem to think is needed. As they say in the food industry, if you can't eat it, don't put is on the plate.

As always Gavin is very creative...Shooting through a slot created using two boards found on location. That created a beautiful look!

Thanks. I got so lucky with the location, the random things I repurposed, that patch of light on the floor and the very understanding Lika as my model 👍

Woow Gavin! Beautiful quality of the video. Great information about the Evolve 200. I just purchased a 200 pro last month and had to purchase the round head for the modeling lamp. I will save more for a new 200proII.

The ad200 is such a phenomenal strobe for all kinds of conditions. So versatile with 2 different heads. I love the bulb on the original ad200, but the fresnel head is great that it had the led to help light up your clients. But this new ad200 pro-ii is definitely a great upgrade with led’s on both heads. I been using Godox for over 5 years, 2 ad200’s, a ad300 pro, 2 v1’s, 2 ad600’s, and the ad1200 pro. Never had any issues except 2 blown over by the wind and that is operator error. You want a great strobe to start out with, grab 2 ad200’s or these new pro-ii’s. I started my outdoor photography business with it and been going strong for 6 years

super vid! i was going to ask if you had a new studio but you explained where you were, just as i was about to ask.. great work, for sure! that flash looks like its the cat's meow but im still kind of leaning towards the 300s units. i have an xplor 400 that is great but just a bit unwieldly for me to shlepp too much
@isoawe18883 ай бұрын
Definitely some things look pretty cool, though not sure it’s enough for an upgrade. Example: If I look over at my “ purple “ light and want to decrease its power, does my trigger show which group is purple?
@GavinHoey3 ай бұрын
Yes it does. If you have the Flashpoint Nano (Godox X3) transmitter and the latest firmware the groups are colour coded to match the corresponding flash.
@EVERLAST2233 ай бұрын
So a transmitter is required to use this flash? It doesnt work with say the the sony wireless system?
@GavinHoey3 ай бұрын
For direct control of the flash (power adjustment, TTL. HSS... and so on) you need a Sony fit Flashpoint / Godox transmitter. There is also S1 and S2 optical receiver modes where the EVOLV200 will fire when it senses a flash from a Sony Speedlight for example.

I wish they would put the knobs on the mount on opposite sides. they still interfere with each other when you attach it to a light stand and want to adjust the tilt.
@GavinHoey3 ай бұрын
Hi Robert. There is a threaded hole on BOTH sides of the light stand clamp. Just unscrew the knob and pop it in the other side, problem solved... and yes, that was a feature in the original Pro 😉

Would be nice if we can use the new head on existing AD200. I am not so keen in replacing my existing lights only to ge the new head.
@tugwilson3 ай бұрын
Can't be done, I'm afraid. The new heads have an etra set of contacts (I'm guessing for the fan) which means they won't fit on the old body nor will they fit on EC200 extender.
@bronekjelonek3 ай бұрын
Will this new head work with older reporter 200 ttl?
@rgreeneish3 ай бұрын
The new heads will not work on the old lights, but the old heads work on the new light. The new lights have an additional 3 pin connector, which I assume is for the new more powerful modeling lights.
