We use hotel points if we have a very early flight. Next month we are staying at an airport before a 7AM flight. The airport is 1.5 hours away from home. The hotel also offers free parking (up to a week) if you stay a night before your flight. They also have free shuttle to airport and allow you to call for a pick up.

Marriott bonvoy free night is 25,000 points. That's not going to afford you a very extravagant stay at all, it barely gets you a Fairfield inn in a normal city. I feel like overall a lot of these perks are completely over exaggerated as far as value, particularly with the price of hotels nowadays.
