Thanks for the thoughtful video Sam 💜 I have adult diagnosed Adhd and I was also one of those 'gifted' over performing kids. I scraped my way through college on talent I didn't work for and anxiety & procrastination-fueled crunch sessions. I actually got my bachelors in a creative field but once I was out of school and didn't have externally imposed deadlines I crashed and burned. I felt so much shame throughout my 20s for not living up to expectations, especially my own. I turned to drink to escape and tried (twice!) for a secondary degree thinking it would solve my problems. I did get the masters eventually but now I've finally sobered up, settled down, and settled IN to myself. I have few friends but many hobbies and that's okay. I don't finish a lot of my for-fun projects and that's okay. I do my day job during the day and I leave it there. A rainy Sunday in with the kitties is my idea of a perfect day and that is okay too! It's just like you say in your video, being mindful of our worlds both inner and outer, and appreciating all the little beauties and joys is so much more fulfilling than chasing some fabricated measure of success. Great video! I'm a blue collar guy that drinks a little too much and loves a good spa day. I never understood the stigma, a little physical and mental maintenance is a requirement for healthy life. Your ASMR videos are very calming while doing my stretching routine. Life is busy and I've found that I have to be intentional with my hobbies. It can be tough at the end (or beginning) of a long day but I find I'm so much happier and more fulfilled when I stick to them.

I love this channel of yours and totally relate to so much of this video and your slow living life. Some health issues really forced me to slow down in a lot of areas--travel, socializing (I'm sober by choice too), and pushing away societal expectations to hustle. I love seeing the wonderful slow footage of your lifestyle! One quick piece of feedback.....maybe it's because I came from your ASMR channel so I'm used to your whispering but it seems like the microphone volume goes in and out, like it's quiet and then your voice is really loud and garbled. Not sure if it can be fixed at all :)
