The one negative thing about people knowing your are on a diet is they say, : Is that on your diet? Should you be eating that?

The first pont is soooooo important! I am 53, and decided I need to lose 25 pounds. I downloaded an app, and it gave me a 3 month deadline, which I decided to ignore. I didn’t tell anyone what I am doing (still in the journey). I am very picky, so I decided I would just eat less and fast 14-16 hrs ( many days I do more). I have lost 17 lbs in 6 months, slowly but surely. I am in no hurry, since stress delays weight loss.

Starting with the eating window first helped me figure out healthier nutrition. I may eat all the pasta I want for supper, but it’s harder to fast the next day. So I developed the craving for protein and good oils and fiber that would get me through the next fast. I still enjoy the carbs - just not four bowls of carbs anymore.

Great video, I feel more encouraged now! Thank you! Also, I love the Christ Pantocrator icon behind you, it made my heart happy to see. It also made me feel like I could trust your advice.

Thanks for your channel. I started following some of your principles about 11 days ago and I’m down to 5 pounds. Another interest of mine is your bookshelves. Lol. I’m a bibliophile and always trying to figure out good options for shelving them and reducing them.

Loni Anderson, the beautiful blonde on the TV comedy WKRP in Cincinnati, was doing a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the late 1970s. In a scene, she was to eat a banana split and Arnold asked if she was going to eat the entire dessert and she said yes. He said don't... only eat a bite or two to satisfy your taste. She followed his advice and said to this day it has helped maintain her figure.

I've been surprised by the people trying to convince me I don't need to lose weight. I am about 20 pounds in on 180 pounds desired weight loss (will see when I get closer, that is still 15 pounds over a healthy BMI, but I also didnt like how I looked the last time I was at my goal weight. I looked really skinny at that point.

I'm at a plateau right now just after i started one month ago, super hard mentally, so I'm going with the fact that my blood pressure is normal now after being high for years and years and with no meds. I maybe getting pay the plateau this week but it's like just closer to a half a pound, so hard mentally tho.
