When I was on the street and eating out of the bins and supermarket skips the addicts and Eastern Europeans used to make a total mess. I'd clean it up because it was destroying my source. They did indeed introduce cages later and bring them all in. Yeah, everything has a consequence. Good point. Mark

5 good tips you have selected Kaz. All of them are of value both for new and old wild campers. If I should add anything then it is this advice from the Norwegian Mountain Code: "Don’t be ashamed to turn around." Sometimes we just need to say that this is not our day and go home - there will always be new chances for wild camping or hiking:)

Absolutely love that snippet of advice 😍 I know people often view it as ‘failure’ if they turn back. But I see it as exactly the opposite-a huge success for making the right choice 👍

My top tip, Be Safe ! People are your biggest threat when Wild Camping. You are safer camping alone in a forest in the middle of nowhere than you would be walking down a UK Highstreet after dark.

@@karenguttridge I've never done a woodland camp yet. Perhaps the noises sound scarier there?! 😁.
@karenguttridge4 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisJB I think that might be true. If I’m by the beach and can hear animals/birds there with the sea background noise it’s just fine. Also fine in the lakes. But if I’m in woodland and everything is groaning, creaking and rustling around me then the animal noises seem more sinister somehow!
