Thank you for putting my combo in the video! I think that Flower V2 is a good mod for pen spinning even if you do not pull the ink out of it (my ink has never flowed). The only thing which I don't like in this mod is a short body (for me).

My first mod was a 12 dollar 4 pack of LED mods from amazon they quickly broke and I soon found out they were horrible anyways. 1-1.5 months in I made a self mod and it's amazing.

I removed the ink from my flower v1 and it spins alot better now. But the main reason people use writable pen mods, are the ones like the rsvp sunburst or nittoms stalogy (well these may not be mods, but they spin well from what I've heard) is because they can be used and/or mistaken for normal pens even when pen spinning, to avoid complications.

my first pen mod wasn't actually bad. it was a bamboo stick with each side portotioned and hollow with tape on each side the same length to hold it up. i personally dont regret making it and im using it whilst waiting for my current pen mod i have ordered but im definately going to switch once i do get a real mod.

Well,totally agree with LED mods and RSVP MX,but others don't. 1.Zhigao mods are actually not too bad if you only consider "beginner usage".But I have to point out some versions of Zhigao mods DO have durability problem. 2.Actually,Tornado used to be the mod on the heavier side. IMO the barrel is too thin,so it's not a good one to start indeed. But definitely not a "mistake". 3.Self mods should be a great start. Cause it can be an emotional connection, makes you put more efforts on spinning which is a good thing. Ultimately, I think every pen mods to start shouldn't be a mistake. Choose your own path always the best way. "Fast approach" is not necessary the "best approach".

No, Zhigao is bad for everyone, I have 4 of them, V11, V15, V16 and V19. The V11 is pretty good as it copies Ivan's design, but it will break in less than a month. The V15, V16 and V19 are just terrible, what kind of mod that weighs more than 70g? 20g is already considered heavy mod and this thing is 3 times heavier. It's a fucking hammer, not a mod. It will ruin your finger, especially the beginners. This company just doesn't know anything about pen spinning, all they want is money. How dare they sell these trash for 10 bucks?

Nice. For me personal mods are good because you can make your own mod looks, weight and length. The mod you are capable of. :)

How do you know it fine then? Can you do bust, palm spin flta, hai tua or pun kan with it? Or you have already satisfied just because you can do thumb around, charge and some simple trick? All beginners think like you because they've never tried a real mod. Trust me, when you have one you will regret all the time you wasted with your self mod lol

Hey Alex, first off love your vids. When you say Zhigao sucks, do u mean all models or just what you have used? I have actual good mods (emboss and buster cyl) so I know what spinners would use, but I really do enjoy using the Zhigao v25 and think it is actually pretty good. I do agree that most of the Zhigao mods are crap but I think this one is worth while. Thanks for your work in the community and keep up the good work👍🏾

Anything wrong with that? I'm pretty sure BusterCYL and Ivan are more popular than a Zhigao. Zhigao is just a branded pen spinning mod. Not used with pen parts.

People who buy Zhigao are more likely to be clueless with what pen spinning is all about and they have not explored other websites beside aliexpress and Amazon. The fact that you say that getting a CYL or Ivan will stop you from progressing is such a random statement. It can be preferably for more advanced spinners, but it doesn't mean a beginner can't spin it lol. Usually people would buy a mod after learning basic tricks with either an unmodded pen or a self modded. That should be a enough for people to learn well on most pen mods (esp double sided). Just my opinion.

Dear Alex, I was trying to figure out how to perform a double thumbaround. I tried to perform a thumbaround but using the index finger. It went like this, i did a normal thumbaround and immediately after i did another thumbaround with my index finger. That was my way of a double thumbaround. Can you try it? The middle finger cones first and then the index finger second

The pen i regret the most buying (6 year pen spinner, not that good tho) is the commsa mod. I have tried two zhigao models and i wasn't really disappointed with them, i even tried a RSVP MX once and it was way better (for me) than the commsa. The only reason why i say this it's because with the commsa, it would literally fly away due to, literally, a small amount of wind blowing if i was doing any trick that needed the pen to be lifted off of my hand.
