Ian is a profound inspiration after surviving 5 years with glioblastoma multiforme after being given at "good" prognosis (by GBM standards) of 2 years. Even more amazing is that, after a recurrence at the 2-year mark, he's now had no evidence of active cancer for three years. Stories of thriving after recurrence are all too rare and I can't thank the Coopers enough for sharing theirs.
What is extra inspiring to me is that, just like Ian, I have brain radiation necrosis from my four previously-treated brain tumors despite being cancer-free. I suffer the same aphasia & periodic seizures. Seeing him and Abby together is like seeing Brad and me from a different angle - except we're not nearly as sweet. Too often the effects of cancer treatment are more heinous than the disease itself.
In this video, Ian and his wife Abby talk about the therapies they use. From the conventional like surgery, chemo & Avastin to the more cutting edge like keto, fasting, off label drugs & supplements, Optune™, and HBOT.
Side note - I first discovered Abby during my recovery while searching for recipes that fit my new way of eating. I've followed her at / stemandspoon since before I was NED and make her zucchini bread at least once a month stemandspoon.c... I was only honored to meet Ian recently and am amazed how similar our stories are.

This interview was recorded for the upcoming CANCER/EVOLUTION docuseries but, even though it hasn't been professionally edited, the story is too inspiring not to share now.
