October makes 5 years since I've moved to Canada, it's a bit premature, but still very valid. What do you think about our journey? Sound off below!

“God is faithful” “Give yourself grace” These words above was in my bible study this morning. We also woke up to a friend inviting us to their church next week. Then we watched your new video and those words hit so hard and we both said God is telling us something. Also we are super proud of your journey and where you are now. You made your goals and went in on them and showed nothing is impossible❤

@@simonemclean-brown793 Wow, thank you so much for sharing this with me. It’s amazing how God speaks to us in different ways, and I’m so glad my video resonated with you during such a meaningful moment. I’m incredibly grateful for your support and encouragement-it’s been quite the journey, and I wouldn’t be here without faith and perseverance. Wishing you all the best in your spiritual journey as well! ❤️❤️❤️

I realize the simple things counts even if it’s a walk to the park it does wonders for your mental health. I learned to just find things to do and keep going.

I agree with you on those points…I also realize it’s easier to build friendships with other race but not your own. There’s just something that doesn’t allow that good connection with ppl of your own culture. I could be wrong still but thus far Jamaicans are hard to deal with. Congrats though on all the accomplishments 🥳
@Shelone

I understand what you mean to an extent. I find it typically easier to form friendships with people who I share a similar cultural background with but this is where the “comparison thief” comes in and sometimes it degrades the relationship and inhibits it from prospering. I think as a minority group we need to do better generally. Thank you though and I appreciate the kind words and the discourse 🙏🏽

You mentioned that you made the move in 2019, do you think you would still have made the move now giving the current immigration climate in Canada?
@Shelone
@Shelone 21 күн бұрын
@@TuMaLife I would have still made the move because the reasons for leaving Jamaica remains unchanged. Additionally, I have children and Canada will provide more opportunities for them than I had in my home country.
