I've read the manwha 4 times over aswell as read the light novels and it's clearly just full rip on solo leveling. The motive, backstory, and power sets are exactly the same. The mcs motives to save his mom, why did sung jin woo become a hunter? to afford to pay for his mom's treatment and it's also why he went through the whole tower of hell thing. The power sets, THEYRE ALL HUNTERS AND THE LETTER RANKINGS ARE THE SAME. Even the prime minister looks just like chairman go geon-hee or however you spell his name.
