Phenomenal show to you both!! Wow, so much amazing content that’s vital and so necessary. It’s definitely a MUST WATCH video. I absolutely loved hearing how you both began, especially hearing The One Minute Barber what you were so passionate about, and your enthusiasm to learn barbering and the skill- I especially loved that, because you literally put my heart about barbering and hairdressing into words. I truly enjoy immensely viewing hairstyles and watching/ learning educational content because it’s my heart and I believe a purpose for me that I long to fulfill. I just truly relate and hearing you speak resonated not only with me, but I bet a lot of others who tune in. I appreciated the honesty especially with American and UK regulation, I know we all personally have thoughts of our own regarding these topics, but I appreciate hearing the truth and Connor it’s what I personally enjoy most about you, you’re not going to pull wool over anyone’s eyes, and I truly believe that as well in your case Michael. I’m so deeply thankful for you both, and just so blessed to find the One Minute Barber- Mike, because you truly are changing lives and bringing hope to people and countries where it can feel there is none due to laws, regulations, or financial constraints that hinder beginner or talented barbers/ hairdressers looking to become licensed, but you’re helping everyone to be the best they can be right where they are. You’re making it possible for educated barbers and hairdressers to refine their skill sets in the industry and maintain it. Mike I agree with Connor when he said you may not give yourself much credit for all you do, because that’s true. Plus I truly believe in making things simpler than complicated when learning, and discovering you, that’s what I was drawn by your gift and techniques/ learning methods you’d choose to teach barbering. Thank you Connor for endless efforts and legwork to keep everyone updated, truly a lot of work, but to those with deep passion to keep succeeding, evergreen learning and research to stay up to date is so necessary and extremely important. Thank you both, I’m truly blessed to tune in and you both keep going because everyone needs to hear it all. 🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

I love writing as I bet most of us can probably tell haha, but I also don’t hold back what is true to me and care for another- not always easy to do because it may be misunderstood at times whether I’m being kind or direct. Either way its spoke from, I share with a care that’s sincere, honest, and respectful towards others, because that’s who I am and it’s a blessing to be treated that way in turn. Anyways, writing from within comes natural to me. ☺️

This is a great question. it’s probably harder to be a good barber but in this day and age a bad Barber can be fully booked if there are a good promoter and a good Barber can be quiet if they can’t promote themselves. If you can know a little of both you’re onto a winner

Should I zero gap my clippers? Will that help get closer down at the bottom? Or should I just muscle up and buy a trimmer?
@HotHeadsMedia2 күн бұрын
Zero gapping your clippers is a good way to get a closer cut. I try and zero gap most of my clippers and trimmers straight out of the box. Just be careful not to overlap it too much, but this is a great way to make them just that little bit more precise . If you try this and it doesn’t work, yes then potentially you might have to buy new clippers

Hello connor if you have a one option which one would you choose between wahl magic clip and cordless senior which one would you choose?
@HotHeadsMediaКүн бұрын
I suppose it depends on what level of Barber or stylish you would think you are. I believe a magic clip is a great starter clipper for a first couple of years and then most people progress to the senior if they have more experience. A good intermediate clipper would be potentially either the gold or black magic clip as it holds more power. It’s like a re-tuned magic clip

Hey Conner, I’m very new and I was wondering when you’re cutting the bulk area of the sides of the cut, are you using the top cut guideline as a guideline for the sides / crown-ish area as well?
@HotHeadsMedia6 күн бұрын
I think it would all depend on the haircut and the head shape of your client. If you are doing an overall scissor cut and generally long haircut, yes you can use a guideline from the top of the hair . If you’re going from short to long on the top, this might not be so easy, but just remember to frame the face by keeping the sides square, but not too heavy. 👏

What’s important to you that you’d like to see more of being that you have been in the industry for a long time. I realize sanitation/ disinfection/ cleanliness of the shop, barber stations, and tools always a MUST and should be held to a high standard as you said. However, is there anything else that you see as a business owner/ barber that barbers should hold themselves to a specific higher standard for? If so, could you please share even if it’s something most people will not want to talk about? Connor I’ve always liked how your shop has light rings in it, and my favorite part in your shop is your wood cubed shelving on the back wall with what looks like cabinetry at the bottom. I like the design which carries products in them if my vision is correct. 😊

In the UK, I would love to see the price of the haircut all come to roundabout the same level and Barber are actually paid for the time and the creativity and countless hours of practice they put in. This only works if we come together as an industry potentially regulations can help with this but anything to bring us all together . I think if we were looking to hold ourselves to a higher standard in any barbershop as a businessman and owner of a shop, I would like to see a better emphasis on customer service. I think this is lacking for Barber unfortunately. Thanks for your comment.🌎💈🚀

That is definitely good feedback, and would truly be a positive outcome something beneficial. I do believe barbers should truly be getting paid for their level of skill and/or experience, and length of time in the barber industry as well. That would be something very nice to see all around as a whole (industry) indeed. Yes- Customer Service most definitely is a good one, sometimes I feel like it can be taught to an extent, because no matter what one does, it’s a choice whether or not one wants to and will keep their customer service skills up to par. In some case I have witnessed that it’s a skill for some that can’t be taught, because one chooses not to apply what they learn, or cares much about it really. They care more about other things than that. This doesn’t apply to everyone, because I do know there are times no matter what you do, you just won’t satisfy someone, but we can try our utmost best… but it’s just what I’ve seen and experienced. Often times customer service can also come naturally to others, but again it’s a choice for them to have that desire to want to regularly apply those skills no matter what whether customer service skills are obtained naturally or not. Along with regular application one must be willing to keep learning through experiences they encounter to grow in that skill because it’s not always going to look the same for every person one may deal with or every situation. In everything one does it must be chosen by desire and done sincerely, because either way what one produces is going to be seen and it all has its effects. I realize nobody is perfect, but I believe one performs well when they apply what they learn to keep growing to do well. If that’s not the goal for the barber industry to be in one accord, no wonder we see the industry on different pages rather than on one page together. I do hope those who carry the passion to be the change brings the industry in unification by their example, so it continues to bring that oneness for the industry. It may not be easy but I believe it’ll refine the industry better. I believe that even if it may take some time to iron out the kinks. Thank you Connor, I appreciate what you’ve shared and its importance. You’re welcome, keep going Connor the industry needs you and the example you are. You have much to bring into the barbering/ Hairdresser industry. 🙏🏻😊👍🏻

How to clean instruments?
@HotHeadsMedia6 күн бұрын
Depending on where you are located, I would use either a clipper spray that disinfects (but remember this takes at least 10 minutes to work) put your tools in Barber side overnight. 🔥

Can I win this giveaway because I really need these machines? I am now living in a war in Syria and we do not have any machines to buy and everything is prohibited. I have been working as a barber for 9 years, but the machines I have are very tired and of the Dingling type. If I can win, or someone can help me and send me any machine.. I will never forget this help ♥️
