As a physicist and self-appointed representative of the scientific community, we would like to commend The Brothers Murph for popularizing to the general public "how science works". With appreciation, we thank thee! (You've both become wonderfully eloquent in communicating why you love these games - thank you!)

My top two favorite games are Marvel Champions and Carcassonne. I am not sure which one I like more. I play Carcassonne with my coworkers almost every week when I go into the office, over lunch. It's a great game because anybody can join to play. I have all the expansions so there is a lot of variability. I don't know how many people realize how many variations of the game there are! It never gets old for me.

The showing of the games is one of the strongest points of these videos. And the way you describe the games, are well summarize and showes the passion and that you really remember and loves the game. Other Top10s might say something like: “oh I adore this X game but I cant remember why, but it was good, and that's why it made it to my top 10” If the board game space ever grows as a hoppy this channel has a lot of entertainment value and I expect it will have a mesure role to the growth of the hoppy.

Ecos was hitting the table quite often before the covid shut down. Though work scheduling blocked me from going to those game days so don't know if they still have the game or if it continued to being played. I thought the game was just okay, the bingo mechanism was good (although borrowed from Rise of Augustus / Via Magica). The board play is where it fell for me, never really hit right. The combos always felt good however.

BTW, when it comes to solo or solo-able games should we all just give up and start exclusively playing Garphill games? I friggin love Paladins of the West Kingdom solo as well as Circadians and I plan on getting Hadrian’s Wall and this new one that you mention here. Let’s just give up and surrender to Garphill.

I think people say 7 Wonders is easy because once you're good at the game, you can easily eliminate what cards you don't want to pick because you KNOW what you want already and you know what cards there are. It becomes so quick that they don't remember how hard it was when they were beginners playing for the first time. That happens for a lot of games but I think it happens especially for 7 Wonders. I love 7 Wonders because it's like 15 minutes if everyone knows how to play, but it's still somewhat complex because you have to try to get the perfect balance of what card types you play.

Supplemental "supple mender." Here is my continued list! 50 - 41: 50. Smartphone Inc. - A kind of introductory Food Chain Magnate about programming the right price for your goods. I love it. 49. Teotihuacan City of the Gods - This is such a weird and fun game that has some really satisfying moments. 48. New Frontiers/Roll for the Galaxy/Race for the Galaxy - I combined these, maybe I shouldn't have? New Frontiers list section crossover! The game is very good and very different from Puerto Rico. 47. Wavelength - I think my highest party game? This game is such a fun and neat experiment. 46. Agricola - I think this game is a little too on-rails for me to really enjoy it as much as other Uwe games, but it is such a well-constructed game that it is very fun to play. 45. Skymines - The graphic design is pretty frustrating, but I fell in love with this game when I demoed it at GenCon. I just love the stocks aspect and the tracks and the weird area control, and they should have named it Moon Base A. 44. Viticulture - This game has really fallen down my list, and I think it's mostly because I don't play worker placement games as often as I used to, but this game is still one of the best. 43. Carpe Diem - I have really loved this game more and more as I've played it. This, Castles, and Notre Dame seem to continually rise in my estimation as I play them. 42. Lords of Vegas - Absolute madcap delirium of an area control and economic game. So much silly fun. 41. Ark Nova - My partner would moiduh me for putting this game this low, but it is VERY fun and I love it VERY much. I love having games where you develop affinities for certain cards (like the Common Wombat [aka Commie Wommie]).

Do you have any of the expansions for Project L? I had to go out of my way to get them all sent from Czech Republic last year. I agree that it’s the best welcoming game out there and I just wanted a little extra meat for myself when playing with the people that have played before. Definitely like the small things the expansions add, just allow you to do moreeee. I think they can cause a bit more AP for those prone to it but doesn’t really effect my playtime.

Hi friends! Congratulations for finishing the bottom half of your list! Continuing my top 100 games I want to replay now: 50. MEADOW (0). Cool that this is halfway through my list twice in a row! Anyway, it’s a good, simple, innovative game. Not terrifically exciting so it doesn’t come to the table often, but it’s dependably good. 49. VERDANT (NEW). I no longer need to play Cascadia ever again. And I live in Cascadia! (FYI, Cascadia is #224 on my list). Verdant is very similar, but in my opinion, snappier and more interesting. 48. TINY EPIC GALAXIES (-6). Classic simple dice game with some replayability and gives you a decent amount of dice manipulation. A faithful game in my group for years. 47. FLEET: THE DICE GAME (-24). I like this game a lot but it’s tough to keep track of things, especially if you get distracted mid-combo. None of my game groups are into heavy roll-and-writes, so it never gets played. Very neat gameplay, though. 46. SCYTHE (NEW). I didn’t think I’d like this based on the theme, the miniatures, and the narrative, but yet I do (so far!). I like how you can go a bunch of different directions and there are interactions across all those directions. 45. POWER GRID (-31). Dependable classic. It’s a beast so it has to be the right time, but it’s a great game. 44. THE PRINCES OF FLORENCE (-15). My game group fell in love with this recently when I bought a used copy. Good simple fun! 43. THE QUACKS OF QUEDLINBURG (-27). Such a classic game! Love it a lot, and so does my family and all my game groups. It’s drying out a bit for me but I still wouldn’t refuse a game! 42. AZUL: QUEEN’S GARDEN (NEW). I used to say that Stained Glass of Sintra was my favourite Azul. Then I discovered this game and quickly changed my opinion! It’s crunchy for an Azul but I like that! 41. PRAGA CAPUT REGNI (-29). I only managed to play this once but I really enjoyed it. Vladimír Suchý is probably my favourite game designer, so this definitely needs to get replayed. Thanks for a great video! Lots of great games this time around!

I've only tried Verdant once and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's still behind Cascadia and Calico for me, but I definitely need to give it another try. It felt a bit like it was trying to do too much at once.

@@hondito That’s a fair critique. That might actually be why I like it more than Cascadia, because you have a more limited window to do more things, whereas I get bored with Cascadia because your turns are simple and you only have to manage two things. Like Verdant, Calico also has the nice time crunch, but it feels a lot more luck-dependent. Thanks for checking out my list! I appreciate it!

I hate it when I hear people say that a game is just “bingo”. In bingo you have zero control over anything. If Ecos is bingo than any game that has a die roll is bingo as well (think Machii Koro or Space Base). I’ve seen people in BGG criticize Tiny Towns for being bingo.

@@TheBrothersMurph Any reason PWH gets the "Praise Be" title over Uwe? Of his titles I've played Sushi Go and Barenpark and those are fine. But like Uwe comes in with like 10 or so landmark games. PWH's highest game on BGG is Barenpark at 343. Uwe's got 5 in the top 100. It looks like you have a ton of Uwe games on your lists so it's just odd to me that you would hold Phil in higher regard from a design standpoint. Anyway, loving the series so far. I did my Top 100 recently too!
