Tyler Sienko Pending upon what type of fishing you want to do, lately I’ve been doing cat fishing, and i have been fishing in Havre de Grace and Perryville, Port deposit is also a decent spot. When i go i catch all three species of catfish using live bluegill, my biggest this year was 27 pounds blue catfish. Far as Bass fishing goes it’s hit or miss sometimes but they are in the Susquehanna.

Have that same reel for years that I bought at BPS too. Only reason I bought it was because my dad bought me the same reel w/ fiberglass Shimano rod back in the 1980’s and I lost the reel decades ago. Was surprised it was still made and so inexpensive and put it on the original rod. It is my go to pond hoping finesse rig. At times it outfishes my $200 Abu spinning rig. Love the series!!

If u liked the Berkeley cherry stick, try the lighting rod series! IM6 graphite, fast tip and a ton of backbone....and those Shimano FX series reels are fantastic for the price! Granted they're not high end, but for an affordable and dependable reel you can't beat them. I love the rear drag, so easy to adjust while fighting a fish.....I've taken a 48" muskie on a FX1000 reel spooled up with Berkeley #8 clear blue flourecent monofilament line!! Obviously I wasn't targeting muskie, but none the less landed it. Didn't strip the drag out, faught it long enough to exhaust it and got it in the boat. I fish Western New York, lake Erie and the upper Niagara River. I also fly fish lake Ontario and it's local tributaries.
