Hey Phil, I just shared one of your KZbin videos (the 1h 57 min crash course video) with my colleague who is doing brain waves research. She is trying to extract a huge amount of EEG raw data and analyze them individually. By the way, she is a neuroscientist and has no basic programming language and she is starting from zero. I hope she could get something from your nearly-2-hour video. I used MATLAB extensively during my doctoral study and now I seldom use the language in my research. I am a chemical engineer by training and ended up doing mostly biochemistry lab work, so my programming skill is becoming outdated so to speak. Thanks for you tips and tricks Phil...keep on making great programming videos!

Hi there, thank you so much for your continued support of the channel! If you friend can analyze each EEG data the same way, she should define a process for one EEG, then run a for loop to process every EEG. She can comment on a video if she needs more help! The videos will keep coming, hopefully you can sharpen your skills until the next time you need to use MATLAB! I appreciate your post and wish you well :)

Will definitely use your channel to update and sharpen my programming skills@@philparisi_. In the meantime, I will monitor her progress and will let you know how it goes with the video I shared. All the best in your MS project!👍🏼💪🏼

I can help you, for I am working on a brain-computer interface with EEG data.

Hi phil Can we use GDAL in matlab?

Hi there, It appears there is a file extension here www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/6010-mexgdal however based on reviews it probably does not work well nor is maintained I would suggest using python instead gdal.org/api/python_bindings.html Or look into MATLAB’s mapping toolbox www.mathworks.com/products/mapping.html
