The fact that items stay if they don't fit your inventory has saved me so much lol. I'd go to the general store to buy seeds and then have no room. They stay on the floor. Even overnight and I can go get them in the morning!

I have to admit, I've been wobbling on whether or not I want this game, but a 'save halfway through the day' feature that's built into the game 😭 I don't know why the 'you can only save at the end of the day' is an expectation of the genre, but as someone who has lost days in Stardew to black outs, the ability to save at will is a godsend.

when i first started playing i wouldve fully agreed, and i still do to some degree, but i think since they're going with such a narrative route, maybe we can expect the years to pass by quicker than say stardew or some harvest moons, so we get more of a development in stories. Potentially a bit less geared towards a speedrun type playstyle? I'm only into my first summer but I get a lot less of a feeling of "I need to be as productive as possible/I need to see how fast I can complete the museum" and more of just immersive exploration. I think it helps with things like foraging not becoming as repetitive, too

@@lizklein2926 Yea, this was something implied in another beginner's guide I was watching as well, and I've been getting that vibe. Someone said "get used to doing just one thing in a day and going straight to bed, there's no penalty to not do something the first year". But considering a lot of stuff doesn't have time limits, you really could just go accept quests from the quest board, do that one thing, then go straight to bed without a worry that in 84 minutes you won't be able to turn in the quest anymore. My only complaint about the short days I suppose is that as a player who gets into these types of games and gets very hyperfixated on spelunking, well I lose track of time in the mines and next thing I know I'm passed out into the next day with stamina debuff LOL

You don’t actually have to buy a shovel and fishing rod. If you’re okay with waiting, you can save the money and just craft one from copper once the mines are open

for the fishing rod, you don’t have to buy it, once you’ve opened the mines and get some ores you can make your own fishing rod instead of losing tesserae. I did it and it didn’t really affect me that i couldn’t fish for a few days🤷🏼‍♀️

This was very useful! I started playing yesterday and I'm in love with the game. It's very similar to Stardew Valley but it has its own style too. I especially love the color palette and the pixel art style. I didn't know the skill menu was on the dragon statue... I guess I didn't put attention to that conversation... xD! ive been playing this game for a little over 12 hours now and seriously its soo fun! I love how every feature is made mindful of the player and super convenient. I’m not too familiar with ranching and it’s pretty expensive so ive been slowly working on saving up lol the characters are super lovable too! right now im trying to romance Ryis 🤭 but the games still in early dev so the max heart metre is 4! if anyone has any tips on how to get money fast pls lmk! I feel like i hoard way too many things and then only have a few fish and bugs left for the selling box 😭😭 one thing ive noticed, when attacking monsters the game mechanics can get really clunky because you aren’t able to parry or attack diagonally, while monsters are. so you really have to practice how to dodge and parry (bring foods/drinks too!)

a little tip that goes along with what you said: characters will often mention items in relation with themselves or other characters they believe might like a gift. however, only the items mentioned in PINK are liked/loved items for themselves or others. items mentioned in YELLOW are simply mentioned conversationally. (i am looking at you, March. what were you thinking, mentioning the Magma Beetle? hm?)

Here's something I learned. Fishing takes a ton of stamina. Unless you do it with only 1 stamina, then it just takes that one... Meaning you can eat a wild berry, fish, eat another berry, fish, repeat. It'll probably be changed, but it currently works.

With the game settings, I realized i had to turn the rain effects setting off because it was giving me some really bad motion sickness. Ive only gotten motion sick from one or two other games, and im so glad it was from a setting i was able to turn off, i love this game so much!

Like, he said he wants to meet the town folks someday and that he needs the character to break the seal to free him, so my theory is that he could have a human form of some kind idk

There's a sword attack(forgot what it's called but it's kind of a dive attack that looks like you're riding the sword like a pogo stick) that is not only helpful in the mines but when you have a lot of dead plants close together that need removed

You should also take the shovel with you to dig up any thing you see in the ground. Since they can spawn a bit randomly.

You can use the pickaxe for those dig spots too! It's nice to free up the shovel inventory spot.

The days are just way too short to really reliably do anything. You have to pick one thing to do and then stick with it all day. Also because the size of the town is hard to get around before the 2:00 a.m. hits.

100% recommend the OLED one! Works awesome, looks beautiful. I do find it isn't as comfortable as say the switch, so you might need to prop it on pillows or take frequent breaks if you have smaller hands (I do have this issue despite having pretty normal hands for a woman).
