Great flashback to my youth! Remember playing a lot of Paradroid, Mission Impossible, Winter Games, and bunch of others here 😀 only one missing is my all time favorite - Raid on Bungeling Bay

I remember when very young playing Zaxxon for the first time on the C64. Still have the cassette and case that I bought for 9.99 pounds back in 84. Sentimental.
@Stiffjab712 жыл бұрын
Tell me about it, I used to play Zaxxon on Mattel Intellivision then a year later I played it on C64. If you have any idea of how lame the Intellivision version was you can understand what I felt once I had the C64 version all for myself. Ciao!

This was the most fun you could have for the transistor count, hands down. Long live the Commodore 64, badassed breadbox.

I'm slowly planning on rolling my own 65C816 based homebrew build, and wondering, what the hell will I do for sound? Probably buy a replacement SID-equivalent circuit from one of the fine hobbyists out there, map it into some memory registers, and never look back.

Amazing video for us old people, thanks for sharing. Paperboy.....hours and hours of trying to get the perfect score. Obsessive. Strange how you grow along with the tech and kind of forget the essence the start of gaming. The big floppy`s, the tapes, the sounds. The Videopac, the Commodore, the ZX-Spectrum with that rainbow in the corner of it. You have opened a lot of weird memory`s sir, not sure if i should thank you or kill you. I guess thank you :-)

Gyruss, Dou Bou, Rocky horror picture how etc.

@RetroSwan2 жыл бұрын
Yes. If you have a PC, you can use Vice (emulator) or C64.emu on Android system. Tons of different emulators on different systems and cosoles. You can even play them in your browser...c64online.com/

I play C64 games on my PSP, Vita, 3ds, Switch and on my android gamepads. You can use Retroarch with Vice core on any system too if you like that frontend.

Great compilation, had some fun with it, but I would suggest to choose a more pleasing interpolation next time. This one looks awful. Nothings wrong with choosing the real square pixels or a raster screen emulation.
@RetroSwan2 жыл бұрын
It was my first video and i didn’t pay attention to the settings. Square looks better yes. For emulation i’m using vice nowadays. I think i was using ccs64 back then. Nothing wrong with the emulator either, just that ugly filter setting.
