Even though 50 was the biggest thing to ever happen in his prime, I find that when people talk about him in retrospect and about his influence on hiphop and pop culture he is still severly underrated. His first AND second albums were both certified classics, yet he is never brought up in GOAT conversations, his first two albums, Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre, are never brought up in classic album conversations, yet Tha Carter 3 is toted along with the other barrage of default albums which are acceptable to mention. Maybe it's because he hasn't died yet, or that he had a respectable run and retired from the limelight, but he should definitely be in the top 5 conversation of all time. He has to be grimiest nigga to ever rap, a real gangster that was involved with organized crime and had beef with an actual kingpin, who later said he was real and really about that life. Even though his persona was comically "gangstafied" to the point of being ridicolous, digging below the surface reveals that he had blocks pumping, and really was that nigga with a Land Cruiser and 400 SEL in 1994. No gangsta rapper that ever existed comes close, only honorable mention is Young Jeezy.
