Sat next to Banks in 1st class on a flight once in 2006 right after “The Re-Up” dropped. His huge entourage was in coach. 😂 He was writing the entire flight as I wrestled w/ whether to say anything to him. As we deplaned I told him I liked “The Re-Up”. He was genuinely appreciative that I had the album and recognized him, then he asked me a few questions! Fun memory.

Stern show was a 3 to 4 hour a day LIVE show every weekday morning during this period. They were literally going off the cuff talking for hours off the top of their head every weekday. Of course some lines are going to be hilarious and some are just not going to hit. It's easy to armchair review when you're not in the situation they're in.
