I remember 50 being called the last real GANGSTA RAPPER back in the day and basically they were spot on with that really except for maybe the GAME but he was a part of G UNIT so it's was the same thing. What gets me is how an entire genre of music can basically disappear especially being the best sub genre of the whole thing. Suppose it's just down to a generation thing and the diluting down of the art form over time to reach a wider mainstream audience and following the cash which obviously is always larger pay off with the mainstream. Sad but true. Bring back 90's Gangsta Rap. Rap needs a kick in the arse.

One of the Greatest achievement s a Rapper can achieve is the ability of totally reinventing the style they came to National or Global Attention. Artist even when personally comfortable with his new style has only just starting the hard part. CRUEL PPL waiting for an artist failures to rub his face in failure. Take EMINEM for example he had a golden pen couldn't do no wrong but once Cleaned himself up hde realized he couldn't rhyme as before so instead of sitting on mounds of cash on his ass which he could've just as easily done he starts learning from scratch a total Different Style. At 1st there fans not knowing what to make of it and YES I'd have to agree Em had shaky period, Em says it himself. But all that transition changing styles has got EM to the unsurpassed level of Skill he now as. He's got passion for his art and it shows with new vocabulary how he connects words & Accents he's obviously studied the mechanics of wordplay. No matter how Amazing Em's early career back then he never had the skill to write or sing Rap God and ma y more.
