@L.E.B he's too old and financially successful to relate to the new generation. It's also why dre never dropped detox. Rap is always about young unpreviledged men struggling to survive in a unfair world. 50 doesn't fit the image anymore. Old rappers don't make hit records, even snoop can't. 50 is nearly 50. His time as a rapper is over.

50 literally just described the reason for his constant trolling… it’s all shock value and he’s playing chess… I’ve never taken him serious as a rapper or keyboard warrior, 50 just playing the game with his formula
@BrianJRoberts
@BrianJRoberts 3 жыл бұрын
I think 50 is too complex to put in that "keyboard warrior" box. I'd speculate he's just totally fearless, so he speaks his mind without concern for the consequences, and that's why he appears to be a troll, when he's really just being himself, speaking his mind, because again, he isn't afraid. At the same time, he knows how to "play the game" (like when him and Kanye had that fake beef and were on the Rolling Stone cover together). TL:DR: He's too complex for a label like that. My thoughts, with respect 🙏🏼

Fiddy a chess master, he has had his ups and downs, but his wisdom is off the charts at this point because of his upbringing and his dealings in the ruthless entertainment industry. The scary part is the things he's not directly telling us about the hip-hop/rap game behind the scenes. He's shared certain aspects about it, but I know he can't say everything. 50 Cent is definitely a sophisticated dude though. I remember like yesterday when his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin' dropped, it was around 2003 and my little brother ran to Wal-Mart and bought his CD lol. Everybody at school was already forgetting about Eminem, 50 was up next, it was 50 Cent mania. This guy blew up so fast and hard. He's 46 now and hasn't dropped an album since 2014, time sure flies. His points about shock value are so spot on, shock and controversy sells, and it sells big time amongst the youth every cyclical generation.

I think he is the hardest working man in showbusiness, he got to where he is through shock value with tons of enemies he created a hard lonely lane as it was his only way and is comfortable in that space being from his background no mother father in streets thats what he is used to
@BrianJRoberts
@BrianJRoberts 3 жыл бұрын
What's fascinating about him is that it wasn't manufactured shock as an attention seeking device, but an accurate reflection of his life up to that point... and it just so happened to be shocking to most people. I'd say that's where his work ethic comes from too. The circumstances he was raised in. He's comfortable having enemies, because he has no fear.

Its just a bunch of mainstream artist with corny songs..so hes saying he doesnt fit this new era of music til it changes. Bc WAP and other songs are "fun music" like most of them dont put in the work( lyrics) .if you listen to a few interviews with these NEW RAPPERS, they say " i didnt know what i was saying in that song..or i just had fun and just posted it." None of this new music hokds value to an individual like back in the early 2000s

Let's face it, 50 was on top during the GRODT era. This cat said he had, "the rap game in a choke" and he did! But ahhh, he left Dre, and lets face it, he hasn't really been thought of as hot, full time rapper ever since. The sex tape scandal hurt him financially (exorbitant legal fee's and a costly settlement) but Power got him back on his feet. His net worth is respectable and he stays relevant as an internet personality, so god bless him. But man, where are the hot records dude used to bless us with??!!!!

There’s little depth to his music. He never opened up about himself really. It was all on the surface shit. 20 + years later and we still don’t really know who 50 Cent is.

Didn’t detect any jealousy from 50, he doesn’t strike me as that kind of guy. I’d say it was more of a compliment actually. He used WAP as an example of a popping record to highlight his point on shock value in comparison to his song, Candy Shop, which was also a huge hit when it dropped!
