Thanls alot for your videos. They're really useful. What does this Greek saying mean: "tall people are the servants of short people"?
@EasyGreekVideos
@EasyGreekVideos 7 ай бұрын
It means that tall people do things for short people because they can't, for example, tall people reach for things that are at shelves short people can't reach.

Do adjectives have to use ο η το in front ?
@EasyGreekVideos

They are definite articles, so you have to use them wherever you would use "the" in English. The good food: το καλό φαγητό. A beautiful day: Μια όμορφη μέρα. Etc.

From the technical derivatives, I think κρύος is colder than ψυχρός. What's the difference between ζεστός and θερμός?
@EasyGreekVideos
@EasyGreekVideos 4 жыл бұрын
You mean because of words that begin with "cryo-" or "thermo-"? Κρύος and ψυχρός are synonyms, just like θερμός and ζεστός. Ψυχρός and θερμός just have a higher register -- they sound more formal, and are more likely to be used in scientific contexts. Although you do get "είναι θερμός άνθρωπος" or "κάνει ψύχρα" in everyday conversations.
