That's a fun little mini bike. I had one when I think I was about 10 or 12 years old. Kept it in a pretty dusty barn, so if it wasn't run frequently, the carburetor would get clogged in a minute.

just picked one up myself last month, already had a new predator 212 on it but had a repair to the engine mount area as most will have when overpowered. so I beefed that area up before I start to mod the stock "as far as I know" 212. I think I may make it "look" fairly stock but may throw a cafe racer vibe with low bars, small fairin, humpback seat etc The seat brackets need to be reworked in the front to try and get rid of that flex or at speed that could cause problems, need to be as wide as possible and sturdy. Then i'll worry about moddin the 212 for more power. Probably run some hyd f/r disc brakes as well. not many parts around for these bikes, there is a NOS number plate on ebay right now, I bought one and I think there are 2 left for about 20.00 each. Just search for "thunderbird go kart".

Did you ever rebuild the front forks? Mine act the same, same with the seat wobble, any tips about either would be much appreciated!

I did have everything completely apart I replaced the rear shocks and to get rid of the seat wobble I imagine you would have to have all the bolts really tight on the frame

I have the 200 its great bike. I put diff stages on like new exhaust and air filter more air in and out. and new carb runs at bout 30

Did you fix the wobbly seat? I have that same problem. Also the scrub brake... did you try a band brake?

That project is on the back burner for right now I'm going to tear the whole thing completely down even separate the front forks from the springs and see why it's not acting like a suspension should

This is an older style frame so yes it does come with a type of brake it's called a scrub break just a metal plate that rubs against the back tire pretty ghetto but it works
