Happy Sunday! A couple of disclaimers. If you would like to find the original video that one of these DIY's came from, I have them all linked in the description box. If you look in the bottom left-hand corner you will see which DIY # you are watching so you can easily find the original video link. Also, I will probably repeat myself multiple times throughout this video since it is a compilation of tons of other videos on my channel, so sorry! Just try to ignore the repeat info. Other than that, I hope you have so much fun watching these Dollar Tree DIYs and hope you find tons of inspiration for your own crafting projects!

@dwb97572 жыл бұрын
Great DIY’s! One suggestion I have on what you could use, instead of rubber bands, when painting the lines (designs) on the terra cotta pots would be the thicker hair ponies from the dollar tree. They probably would stay in place much better because they aren’t as stretchy. Just a thot! Debby
@LizabethMoore2 жыл бұрын
That is a good idea!

You said let us know what we would add to the Welcome and hearts sign, and I think red would have really popped instead of the black for the lines of stitching and around the circle. Cute!

Have you ever thought about doing a series where you take one craft and you do it in like three different ways? For example in this video when you use the little house and you took the pieces calendar and made a sign, those definitely Farmhouse. I love Farmhouse but I also know that it can get a little overwhelming if you have too much of it in your home. At least in my opinion LOL. A lot of people just love a traditional or even like Bohemian look. I love the crafts that you do you have the same aesthetic and style as me, but I think that if you did one item in three ways that might be a cool series for you and would probably capture a lot of attention. I don't know just an idea not that you don't have enough to do already hahahaha.

That is definitely a great idea! I will have to write it down, thank you for the input!

Liz, on the whole, I love your work and learned a few things! I have lots of observations and suggestions: I agree, flowers would look darling behind the fence on #4. On #7, I think adding some red on the middle brick house would bring balance. The two herringbone houses are strong in color. On #9, I'd cut off the bottom of the stems not covered by the jute. Loved #14! Great idea for squeeze bottle in #16! Loved the project! Love, love, LOVE the carrots in #19! Ingenious! On #26, use smaller rubber bands or twist each twice. To #27 I would add some red towards the bottom, like maybe 2 smaller red hearts between the 3 hearts. On #37 I think it would look much better keeping the white yarn together (not messy). I would add spackle or joint compound to all your joints, like in #40, for a solid, finished look. On #41 I think it would look better with adding definition to the carrot leaves and lines across the carrots. The bunnies on #47 needed to have the seam sanded down and add more baking soda for more texture. The slot for the bank on #48 is too obvious. I suggest a popsicle stick painted black be adhered to the top. And the 2 holes in the metal envelope on #50 are very distracting.

Goo b gone is great for taking adhesive off surfaces. You can get a small bottle at the dollar tree in the automotive section or it might be in the hardware section. You take off as much as you can like the flowers and such and then rub off the sticky that was left. Works great for taking sticky adhesive off glass too ❤️

Hey Liz and anyone else who wants to take this little nugget of gold I’m offering lol. When you are using a stencil and you want perfect edges try going over it with a matte mod podge first letting it dry then go over it with your choice of color and there you are. You’re welcome lol. Jk but it’s fool proof cos this fool can do it.

What is chalk paint ? Can you use regular craft paint ??
@LizabethMoore Жыл бұрын
Definitely! Chalk paint is just paint with a chalk base. I find it dries faster and has fuller coverage so you don't need as many coats of paint. But you can always use whatever type of paint you like best :)

I just watch what I have time to, then stop. Then start back watching when I have time (or wake up lol then rewind to watch what I missed lol) It’ll save where you are at. So really you could chop this up into 20 separate videos if you wanted to 🙂 This way, these projects are all in one place! Think of it like reading a book!
