I will never forget when this movie came out. I was a freshman in college and this came out during my first week. Not knowing anyone, I decided to adventure out and go to the local theater alone. This was the first Resident Evil I saw in theaters and while it's not the best film, it still was a huge deal for me at that time. Thanks for the memories Kai!

I'll always have good memories of this movie, I was 15 and went to the theater with my dad. He wasn't a resident evil fan or anything and didn't know anything about the series but he just thought the movie sounded like a fun time. He was convinced in the theater Wesker was played by John Travolta.

As a fan of Supernatural, I wasn't ready to hear that Jensen Ackles aka Dean Winchester was originally going to play Leon! Dude, that would have been awesome as Dean would say. The opening scene for this was probably the coolest seeing Alice with all of her clones! Also in the opening when she’s fighting in the parking lot with a katana, there’s a cut where Mila’s boots switch to heels 😅 That time stamp is CRAZY to me to have been missed in a multimillion picture by Sony

The coin shotgun was directly taken from an episode of Ghost In The Shell anime. Though, the coins serves as a more meaningful context in that anime rather than just being a heavy duty shotgun pellets in this movie

Love the 50 facts about the movies. I saw this in the theater and it was the BEST 3D I have ever seen in the cinema. Milla seems to be very accident prone on set. Lol. I love that Sienna was ecstatic to do this movie as she was sadly absent from Extinction, except the novel. And speaking of novels, I wish this one would eventually get one, I guess it was because the original publisher of RE novels lost the license and the movie was made and came out before the current publisher picked them up. While this is my least favorite in the franchise, mainly as it acts as a giant reset button after 18 minutes, I have learned to appreciate it more over the years for what it does and it sets up my second favorite in the franchise, Retribution. I hope you do videos for the last 2 in this series, one for Welcome To Raccoon City, the 3 anime films, Infinite Darkness and eventually the Netflix one. Keep up the good work :-)

Across the film franchise they have made just over 1.2 billion with a total budget of 300 mill, which in the film world would be considered a great success. However, this mostly comes from the fact that all the films have a restricted budget and the creators understood their audience. These films normally did much better in foreign markets with Afterlife specifically making just as much in Japan as in North America. To date these have been the most successful film franchise based off a game series. Also at least so far, these films are the highlights of both Milla Jovovich's and Paul Anderson's careers.

This is my favourite resident evil movie, next to apocalypse, and welcome to raccoon city. As a die hard resi this one was epic, just the only thing they could’ve done without were the alice clones at the start, imo that stuff was cringe, but other than that, to me it’s a classic🔥🔥

Did you do the facts of Lara Croft Tomb Raider films (Angelina Jolie) ? I may very well be party of one but I thought they were done well. I also couldve seen the plots of both films be in future games if they ever wanted to do so. Out of a lot of VG based films it stands as number one for me cause even without too many references everyone can watch and enjoy it equally.

My brother and I saw this movie in 3D. We loved it. Shawn Roberts does a good job as Wesker, even if the costume looks silly in live action. I mean this film is nothing amazing, and is a mutilation of the games, but sometimes a goofy movie is all I want.
