Another fact: Trevor's Notes were originally included in the first version of the game, including Spencer's Invitation Letter and Trevor's response; serving as both lore and hints for some of the game's puzzles, and located in various places throughout the mansion, such as the L Passage where Kenneth's body is found, and the attic. They were cut from the game a month before it's release in order to streamline the story. Trevor's notes were later rewritten and included in "The True Story of Biohazard" when the game was released on the Sega Saturn, and then rewritten again for the RE1 Remake. Though not obtainable through normal play, the original version of Trevor's Notes can be found on the January 15, 1996 Trial Edition of the original game.

The architecture even more-so impactful when you realize how much symbolism Noblemen like Spencer put into their facilities, after recently revealing Umbrella Corporation was inspired initially by a longstanding medieval European alliance, the original 4 Lords succeed by Miranda's cult. It's obvious that not only were the Corporation trying to create a facade over their eugenics and biological manufacturing, but rightfully their own kingdom. With Raccoon City's majestic Police Department, Sewer System, and burial grounds all being funded and manipulated by the Corporation in their initial planning, including the Spencer Mansion. Trevor an urban architecture, Iron's the police chief, and the mayor all in Umbrella's pocket. The Umbrella Corporation initially had it's own state before the outbreak.

Just some theories about fact 26. The pile of wood + oil + lighter may all have been used on the second floor east wing, to originally obtain the second floor map above the fire place. This may have been a bit too tedious for the end prize, so they simplified to just using a lighter. The building key looks very futuristic, like it's from the lab. Perhaps the key to get out of the tyrant room, instead of electronic lock on the computer or the giant door leading to the helipad elevator? There are two keys on the ring. Could also have been the original way to access the elevator to get down to the tyrant room. Instead of supplying power, you would find two parts of the key, to proceed downward. The pick axe may have been originally used to tear down walls in the underground caverns, like the one before the Black Tiger boss. This was replaced with the rolling boulders. Pick axe makes more sense, but the rolling boulders were scarier.

Dude this is a very fun video. I'm obsessed with the mansion and the real history and storyline and novels more than the video game even though I love the Gamecube version best. Personally I just love old buildings especially old run down buildings you see in downtown cities and large vintage mansions so this was gravy for me and love it. If I was a millionaire with tons of money to burn for fun I would totally build an exact replica mansion complete 100% with all the fixings in a city where there is plenty of land and have it like a tourist visit kind of thing. People from all over would come and take a long tour of the mansion etc. with a tour guide and I would have installed speakers everywhere and use the same ambient soundtrack of the games. Hell...I would even use gross nasty smells in certain parts especially in the kitchen areas to give it a real life effect. Sad part would be that it will not be handicap friendly as you would have to walk stairs, climb ladders etc. Anyway yeah this comment may be silly and wishful thinking in a fantasy world but the thought is cool I think. I can only imagine the government and city officials thinking..."Okay so this guy and company want to build what?" lol Great Video brother! Love it! A++++ Thumbs Up...and all that fun stuff. : )
