My level now is that I don’t understand the sounds when you speak even when you speak slowly. But as soon as I see the written sentence and take my time to study it in detail I get the aha-feeling and understand much more. I hope that I soon will be able to understand spoken french without having to have to try to imagine how the sounds are written

Je suggère une Pratique d’Écoute en Français sur les adverbes, les conjonctions et les adjectifs qui ne sont pas souvent utilisés. Pas des adverbs dérivés d’adjectifs. Mais les mots qui sont moins fréquemment utilisés, comme: tandis, tandis que, en tant que, quoique, quoi que, quelconque, quiconque, quasiment, par ailleurs, aussitot que, dès que, aussi bien que, ainsi que, parmi, et cetera. Peut-être vous pourriez écrire un livre sur ces genres de mots - lesquels sont formels, lesquels sont familers, lesquels sont des synonyms, les differences d’utilisation et plus d’information sur ces mots que ce qu’il y a dans votre livre de grammaire.
