Hi Ruth, this video is great. I have three questions though; is the spicy pepper peppery enough, can it be used in place of the Rodo we use in Nigeria? What vegetables do you use in place of Ugwu? and finally what type of beef would you recommend? I have just moved to Germany and I have been quite confused. Well done on all your videos so far, I have been enjoying them.

Hello, welcome to Germany!!! 💐🎉🎉 1. the pepper is not as spicy as the rodo 🥹 but you get used to it, you can also get hot pepper at most African stores 2. I have not cooked ugwu since I moved, the times I made egusi I used spinach 3. I had beef once and didn’t like its taste so I just bought chicken and fish What city did you move to? how have you been enjoying Germany so far?😄

@@simply_jennie I am in Frankfurt, and i have been settling in gradually. Can the fish be gotten in the regular German stores or it has to be at the African stores? African foods here are too expensive abeg.

@@onioluwatosin9527 😂honestly it is but with time you’d get used to it, the regular titus fish we know I have only seen at the African store, here they sell three for 6€ so it’s kind of affordable

@@onioluwatosin9527When you settle in. There is nothing you want that you won’t get in Frankfurt. There are very firy/hot rods in Europe. You will get whatever kind of beef , assorted. In my own opinion, African foods aren’t expensive in Germany. Just chill and enjoy.

Hi! Im moving to Germany in a year so i had a question, what store is the best to shop from and how is it to live there is it comfortable? Im still confused. Some say its really hard and people there not that much of nice.

That’s great, so far Germany has been good and comfortable for me, I think it’s best to come with a more positive mindset and if you believe in God keep him close and you’d be pleasantly surprised. It’s hard at first trying to settle in but I believe it gets better☺️ I shop at Lidl, Netto or Aldi most of the time as they are discount stores. Edeka is a bit more on the high side
