50. Hillclimb Verzegnis-Sella Chianzutan | Highlights & On The Limit

As usual the Verzegnis-Sella Chianzutan hillclimb is a major event for the Italian competition, especially this year because it was held for the 50th time! With very hot and dry conditions the drivers pushed really hard but some of them went a little over the limit, resulting in unexpected drifts or even crashes. The absolute winner was Denny Zardo with a Norma M20 FC with a time of exactly 2:30 in the final run! Michele Fattorini was only 3 seconds behind him with an Osella FA30, and Giuseppe Vacca surprised us by finishing third with an Osella PA2000 despite some more drivers in the more powerful 3000cc class. The touring car class was very numerous too, it was dominated by Karl Schagerl with his monstrous Mk2 Golf Rallye!
