I've two Bustin E-boards that need new ESCs and one new board that I just ordered off Kickstarter, the Shark Wheel power version. Was supposed to be expect delivery by May but it'll likely be July or later now. I better order some ESCs soon so I can finally ESK8 again! @aMiFiii there is a limit I do agree ay which some are too much...now the one thing I think of is taking takin 2 cheaper set ups, or buying two separate cheaper automated truck set-ups and figuring out a way to sync them up with one specific remote...meanin Is resodering the proper parts amd or areas...yeah sounds hard and difficult to a degree it would be but seems fun in itself to learn the inner workings too. But I also think in what i have seen is that the automated skate world hasn't really advanced a whole lot. And with the whole economic issue being o blast we'll that doesn't make anything cheaper. I may have posted that and maybe even said it in here, but I may have being goin off what I had last seen a few years back before the inflation hit heavy due to the be sick and sheep up movement.

The geometry of RKP (Reverse Kingpin) trucks allows for the rider to put all of their weight on the front of the board for the best balance. IDK if that was the intention when Gullwing made them in the 70s (yes, they're that old) but they are the ideal truck design for downhill stability (high speeds). Double Kingpin trucks, like Gullwing Sidewinders and those from 1st party pre-built e-board manufacturers, are simply TKP (Traditional) trucks, which can be thought of as similar to RKP trucks with very low angles. If you are familiar with downhill/LDP (long distance pump/push) and angle splitting, then you know that a low degree truck goes in the back for stability (trailing rear design), so you can kind of think of having those on both ends. The turn of TKP is progressive, meaning it leans more at first, then turns, this makes them great for downhill, actually, and you get more wheelbase, this can also help with stability(and hurt mobility further), you do need to take special care of your PIVOT CUPS. In a TKP design, the brunt of the forces acted on the truck will be put directly on the kingpin, casing potential bends and/or snaps, and stability loss short term, installing a high quality, 95a+ hardness Urethane pivot cup REGULARLY (once a year) will help keep your OG trucks bombing well. RKP trucks have a more even distribution of forces, due to their design, but taking care of your trucks will obviously help them out. DKP trucks have: more lean AND more turn than their TKP counterparts, in exchange for increased ride height and reduced* stability (increased ride height = increased leverage as well) V1 Sidewinders did NOT have 3rd party support; no companies aftermarket pivots fit, meaning the worst flaw of the trucks was exacerbated 2x. Make sure you can replace the pivots in your DKP trucks, either by forums for DIY, or by emailing Support for pre-builts, before you buy if possible.

Hey, just a heads up. My buddy bought this kit because your video and you might want to put up a shot saying not all can do 28mph his only hit 22mph The meepo he sold me right after he got the kit does 31mph with me on it highly recommended the V3 not all hit the speed I was able to get to but I see the general top speed is 28. They charged him $100 for a shipping fee even tho it was probably just for "restocking"/refurbishment Great Tq and breaking nice remote feel coasts decent but the meepo beats the kit. I'd give the kit a 6/10 basically for false advert. Meepo 9/10 the sleeve is a bit small for a full 10/10 He's not mad but I'm not the type to forget hope you post an update on the original video. Can't speak for the AWD he just had one kit

@sageoz98864 жыл бұрын
I've been wanting to do a AWD setup with purple SR Foamies for a while and this is inspirational to make it finally. The Revel kits are awesome but the killer for me is it can only fit flat decks, so I'm definitely going DIY, with a twist: My friend is machining up two sets of tandem wheel adapters for me. These are going to be longer than the adapters available as well as ride on bearings, and the rear mounts will fit hub drives. So I'll be running eight wheels; one Foamie and one hub drive at at each wheel. I'll do the Foamies on all first wheels as the extra diameter creates some angle on the adapter that allows the wheels to lift over over road obstacles easily. It'll be a monster for eating up Seattle's rough roads and steep hills.
@subarufamily4 жыл бұрын
Revel Kit is not limited to flat decks. Lots of examples on this esk8 news thread. Also lots of 4WD examples. One 8 wheeled example. forum.esk8.news/t/revel-at-the-brand-new-competitor-in-the-direct-drive-esk8-race/1374/499

I know this might be asking a lot, but I just bought the revel kit. I have been electric skateboarding for about two years now. My first board was a teamG... that one didn’t go very well.. now I ride an Evolve. Ever since I got in to the Esk8 Community I have wanted to do a DIY board... when I first started researching it I realized it was a little out of my tech range, unless I got one of the bolt on kits. When I first started researching, mellow was one of the only ones doing the whole bolt on ready to go thing. As I previously said, I decided I wanted to pig revel instead, it seemed newer and cheaper. Did I make the right decision? Can you do a comparison video between the mellow kit and the revel kit??? Please 😅
