“I’m not vegan this month, so this chicken works” I didn’t know you could do that? Isn’t that like treason?
@Avalikia5 жыл бұрын
Some people are vegan for ideological reasons (i.e. they don't want to harm animals, or it goes against their religion), some people are vegan for dietary reasons (i.e. they want to be healthier). The former probably never deviate from being vegan because their beliefs about why they do it don't change like that, but the latter might not have any problem at all switching back and forth, depending. All that being said, I assume he was joking.
@Crevettola5 жыл бұрын
Also if "pure" vegans consider it treason, they're really not helping the cause (assuming they're vegan for ethical reasons). The important point of veganism is encouraging people to do their best to reduce their consumption of animal products. So if someone is eating vegan every other month, that's still a great reduction!

I feel like a lot of them struggled because their tortillas looked kind of dry and stale. When I make burritos, I like to warm the tortillas on an open flame, wrap them in a hot kitchen towel or foil and keep them warm in a low oven until I’m ready for them. In doing so, the tortilla becomes very flexible, and the steam created by the foil or towel helps keep them soft and almost slight sticky in a way that it sticks to its self once rolled..

I’ve seen two methods on how to role a burrito and the differences are that in one of them you fold the sides first rather than later like in this video. To be honest, both methods work very well but if it fails then you need a bigger tortilla or less toppings inside as it steals the space.

There is another way that also works extremely well. Put the toppings on slightly off center towards yourself, then on the opposite empty end smear some sour cream, this will act as a glue when rolling. Roll the Burrito as it was done by the professional, and you have a Burrito that is not just rolled tight, but also glued together by the sour cream. Perfection.
@neomix35 жыл бұрын
As a Mexican, you should not limit yourself about what you want in a burrito, a burrito is a bunch of food inside a rolled tortilla that is closed at the sides. you want a fried fish burrito? Go ahead! Chicken? Pork? Spam? Some mysterious food that you have in a Tupperware in the back of the fridge? The size of the tortilla is the limit!
