I regularly use melee weapons when doing stealth stuff for bounties, especially the throwable ones As for the collector map, I recommend setting it to show all items that aren't random (tarot cards, alcohol bottles, heirlooms and eggs). This way you're not wasting time getting items that aren't guaranteed to complete a collection in one day

Refined Binocs are awesome. I use them all the time for hunting. Ride up a hill and do a 360 sweep. You'll see dozens of animals and then can ride to a specific one. Once you've upgraded to use eagle eye while riding on horseback, you can use them for the Condor egg challenge. I'll also use them to scope out other player's activities, names, etc. and to examine objects in the game in super high detail (like newspaper articles, books, photos, objects, etc.

I'm gonna disagree with you on the herbs one. Ginseng can take forever to collect as they typically spawn only one in any given location, and are far apart from any other ginseng spawns. I like to restock on ginseng at Madam Nazar, craft a few medicines right there using my wilderness camp, and then when I find ginseng on my travels, I can pick them to top it off. If I need to make large batches of tonics after a 5 star legendary bounty mission, this is the best method to restock on ginseng. It's cheaper than buying tonics, and much faster than riding all over creation to source them for free. Just think of it as part of your operating costs. The sooner you can get back into money/gold earning activities, the better.

Regarding meat, a neat tip for beginners is you can lasso many of the larger wildlife from horseback, then, assuming you lasso them close enough and/or have plenty of stamina, you can pull yourself in, then you'll have a prompt to kill the animal with your knife. This method is great if you run out of ammo, and/or don't have the weapon required for a perfect kill, as this method preserves their hide. So if you ever find yourself without ammo, as long as you have your lasso and stamina to spare, you can kill an animal, and process it for meat and/or sell it to a butcher to get some ammo money.

If you don't want to take the time to craft a million miracle tonics, just buy them. A useless item to him might not be useless to you. The refined binoculars have helped me to find treasure chests in remote locations, also i have often used emotes around other players. As for melee weapons they get used by alot of players including me, and tracking arrows are useful for finding escaping bounties while I'm busy looting bodies at a hideout. I also buy collector maps from Madam Nazar, as that's how the game was intended to be played, no wonder Rock* gets pissed with the community. Weight loss tonics come in handy for a quick fix too, I'd take this dudes video with a grain of salt.

Legendary animal pheromones (LAPs) don't attract legendary animals. They only work AFTER you see a golden ? on the screen. At this point, you can throw down a LAP and it will show you the exact location of the animal (the ? only shows there's something in the area). It's helpful for some of the more deadly animals, but yeah, not a necessity.

I think you confused hair pomade with hair tonic. I personally use hair pomade often during rdr2 online, it's not meant to make your hair longer, it's meant to slick it back and style it. I personally like the look it gives and it lasts a few hours before having to reapply, not to mention it's very affordable price

Plenty of players treat RDO as a rat race and get burned out quickly. All I'll tell you for now is that you can get a free Bounty Hunter role if you link your Rockstar account to your Amazon account and have Amazon Prime, even the 7 Day trial will work, and you will get the role. And another thing is 10 free gold bars by setting up 2-Step Verification thing on your Rockstar Account. Apart from that, just have fun and learn on your own.

Me personally quite quickly notice stuff like belt buckles, rings, I use the pomade because my hair gets messy. More points I disagree with but these are just examples. I agree with most of this from a technical point of view but a useless item varies greatly from player to player. For example, I'm always a role player in just about any game that allows it. That ugly rope holster looks great for my "Last of the Mohicans" character. That 1gold bar mustache is perfect for my "Doc Holliday" character. My point is that roleplay gives the game longevity and when I get bored with one characters play style i swap to another play style. I wish I wasn't forced to use a gun belt. I just want to use a bow and rifle for my Native American character. Anything that cost gold like weapon metals and hair should be a one time buy in fee. Pay with gold the 1st time then use cash everytime after.

Why should i spend over $2000 altogether upgrading the moonshine just so i can earn slightly more money per 1 hour cook. The exp is the same. Levels up the same. Role upgrades are too expensive for the return and a total waste and just extends the grind by spending all your money.

It can be used for daily challenges but there are much easier daily challenges not to mention how many parcels that Rockstar gift and Outlaw Passes, it's easy to stack up on tracking arrows, blending tonics etc without buying them but have way more than enough to complete them as daily challenges once or twice a week

20 carcusses in 10 minutes is super easy. Keep all the squirrels, toads, rats you kill jn your inventory. I don't go out my way to kill them, just do it when I come across them. When we have the donate in 10 minutes, just donate all the small animals saved in the inventory. On busy days where I only log in for keep my streak. I loved seeing that as one of the dailies. Takes me 30 seconds.

I know this is an older video but still relevant, hair pomade simply slicks your characters hair back, you're talking about hair tonic in the vid, hair tonic increases hair growth speed and it's not in rdo, so hair pomade is a useful item if you want your character to look that way

I really enjoy using the ancient tomahawk and the knife. Using the knife on a small group of enemies is fun and the different kill methods are sick! You do earn melee xp too. Just be careful with the tomahawk xuz you can throw it and easily lose it, but only 5 bucks at the fence if you need a new one. Happy stabbing! Great video

I actually use the poison throwing knives to one shot any animal I don't want to ruin the skin or pelt of, and occasionally to one shot melee kill npcs with.
