Appasaheb kharde that's because Karnataka road lines is mainly ruled by KSRTC ( state govt run buses ) the airavath bus (a baby sleeping sticker ), VRL and SRS travels Sharma ,national travels , r also there bt bt as big as those 3 VRL has world record of highest fleet of vehicles

most of the newer Volvos and Scanias are speed locked so actually you could see normal buses over taking them as well. But in ghats there is no competition with volvos and scanias. I myself have experienced my Anand travels bus overtaking volvos
