Great video, my understanding of settings and tests is much better now. The one thing I still am trying to grasp is number of passes, why and when to increase from one pass.

You can set a material test for number of passes as well Dawn to see the difference. I personally stick to 1 pass if I can. But you might want several if you want a deep engrave, like to inlay wood, or paint fill for example.

Great video. Rich, the difference in finishes on your material test card is amazing. Loved the flower. I've been down the rabbit hole regarding increasing the Lpi 🙄

You get extreme changes lowering the lpi David. Raising it only creates overlapping lines.

I used craft closet to get my painted wood. I've also done this myself with Dang graffiti paints.

Hi great video again! Something I haven’t seen but I imagine exist is font that burns gradiented into a arch ..point .. like old pub signs… do you know of any predesigned font like this.. that will burn in this style? Cheers

One-to-ten training is coming next year as well. It will be a part of the Academy; live virtual events once a week with 10 seats. I find people learn better in a class environment. Feedback and questions are important to teaching.
