Have you looked into color Street for your nails pretty cool product doesn't take much practice to get good at it nice clear coat over top makes it last up to a month depending on how physical you are

I love seeing how you live frugally but not as an extreme minimalist, especially as Gabe is more minimalistic. I'm trying to live with much less clutter and let my husband keep his sports memorabilia. Compromise is key. Can't wait to hear more from your viewpoint.

Checking out books at the library is free. Our library has many books available on Kindle or other apps. The nice thing about the digital check-outs is that they return automatically when they are due.

Hi Meredith! I've watched Gabe for so long, so I'm a subscriber through him! I love how comfortable you were discussing periods. A lot of these videos, the women lose confidence when they talk about pads or tampons, as though it's something cringeworthy. I love that you didn't. And I can relate so much to how having children evens things out. My periods were so crazy and erratic when I was a teen. Sometimes they were light, sometimes I'd bleed through everything. Sometimes they were 11 days long, sometimes I'd go a month without. But after my first son was born, they finally got regular and I could finally plan for it each month.

Hahah! Periods are so normal and I think it’s silly the taboo around them! Mine have always been a wreck too.

Agree with the cleaning supplies. I was spending so much money on them and now I save a lot by using alcohol/ vinegar. I don’t buy supplements and I’ve invested in a good coffee machine so I can make my own coffee at home.

You've done an excellent job for being brand new to this. I used to get Ipsy also because I love makeup, but I canceled for the same exact reason. It was fun to try new makeup but it started creating clutter that I just wasn't using. One note for everyone on the ebooks. I find almost every book I ever want on my library's website. They let you download ebooks and audio books without even going to the library!

Hi Meredith! I'm a bit past the child rearing years but I do love what you and Gabe are doing on YT. I grew up with a mom and grandmother who were frugal and minimal in how they decorated, the things they purchased, etc and they never would have known a name brand if they even stumbled upon it in a thrift shop. I write my own blog about simple living and decluttering as I am on a journey to get back to basics and trim my consumerism. Thank you for sharing!

Hi 😊 I'm confused a little bit... You said you were pregnant (or nursing) since you were 20. It's your 2nd pregnancy, isn't it? Are you so young?? 22? 😮 I'm 32 years old and here in Germany it's common to start pregnancy at about 35 or older (or never!) because of the tough job and rent situation. 😅 I know, living in USA is way cheaper, but...having two kids with 22 sounds soooo crazy (in an confusing way) to me 😮

Thrifting shoes is definitely only for shoes that get worn very few times. Something like tennis shoes or running shoes that get worn a lot conform to the feet, and definitely are not worth thrift shopping. But your young daughter has a daddy daughter dance at school and that's basically the one time she'll need fancy dress shoes that year? Definitely thrift.
