So i don't have to keep answering this question. "Kidney beans" past it's expiration causes food poisoning that can be toxic and can kill you, also raw under cooked kidney beans can kill you. aspirin breaks down over time acidic poisons your organs.

Keep them, ask your doctor if they can still be effective, if they are unopened then they should be good, may loose a little strength. A Dr told me that most of my medications are good out to around 5 years past expiration dates but talk to your doctor about them first.…. Like a lot of foods with best by dates.

good advise hombre, i tend to look at things on 2 levels regarding preparedness, the natural disaster, where invariably communities seem to come together to a degree, there's no need for covert behavior in those times as disasters are often localized to a degree, help and normality will return, a situation where food, recourses, supplies, is not looked on as a target, but more of a blessing where folk are happy you were able to help them, which is something most would want to do in that situation And then, there is the long term downward spiral in society where basic essentials have disappeared, people are desperate, those same grateful people aren't grateful anymore, they just want what they need, and will precure it at any cost, preparing for both scenarios is essentially the same provision and storing wise, but dealing with the same folk in the second scenario is far more difficullt, accepting and being able to respond to that eventuality is what will, or will not keep you top side of the flowers.

Semper Fi, bro -1969 - 1972 Love your channel, especially the archery. After water, protein is the most important food item, followed by good fats (-and I don't mean seed oils no soybean, safflower, sunflower, corn, canola, cottonseed -those induce inflammation), I mean olive oil, coconut oil, and other saturated fats (yes, I said saturated). Carbohydrates are not essential for life, but are an emergency food. To learn how the body works (metabolizes food). Why We Get Sick by professor Ben Bikman (bio-energetics at BYU), is a cutting edge book on low-carbohydrate/ketogenic (beta hydroxybutyrate). Get "fat adapted" and non-reliant on constant infusions of glucose...you'll be glad you did. BTW, caned goods were recently discovered from a failed Arctic expedition from the early 1900s, and the food was still edible. The shelf life of canned goods is much much longer than most think. Same for antibiotics. The US military has done studies on them found that they have 90+ % of their potency even 10 years after manufacture. Good to know.

I have an expensive hobby of collecting old "farmhouse" food processing equipment such as Corn huller, corn husker, meat grinder/sausagemaker, and butter churn. I would like to get a wood cook stove and need to get a grain mill or make one. I also need to get canning equipment and a still. The still can not only be used to make alcohol, but used to get oil for cooking, tinctures, and so on. I would also like to add fishing gear, and terminal tackle to the list, as well as parts for your vehicles and machinery. I mean air filters, alternators, belts, hoses, clamps, spark plugs etc. I also have an abundance of old brass, bronze, and steel to either melt down or to make things with, currently making a cross between a hunter sword, and Lange messer with a Kephart-style tip machete that will also work as a chopper. Now a couple things I would add that are tradable and take up no space on shelves. Knowledge and skills I am an automotive mechanic by trade, but switched to working on factory machinery where I get the old brass, bronze, chain, and steel that is worn or replaced. I am not limited to that I have other knowledge and skills that can be used to trade for items I may need, and used to help my own family or other families. I have knowledge of things that do not require electricity, or fuel to power from growing up around Amish and Mennonites. I need to step up my game on tools such as two-man saws, and the tools to repair and reset them, froes, augers, etc. Traps, are all kinds of traps, either to kill pests or to procure food so as not to waste ammo. Snare-making items such as cable, stops, swivels, pegs ferrules, etc. If you want farm animals look more into multi-purpose heritage breeds. for example Orpingtons for chickens good egg layers and meat birds, Holstein for cows for cream, milk and meat, Tamworth for pigs for meat, bacon and lard. Mongolian goats offer meat, milk, and hair. Space is obviously a big factor as well as how well they graze and convert, how well they handle the weather in your area etc.

Hey all happy Saturday! I wanted to touch base on your comments about canned beans and aspirin I'm somewhat confused? Im sure your knowledge far exceeds mine!😁 Im just a 66 year old man! Ive talked to a lot of different people both professional medical people as well just our good ol prepper community. The aspirin and most over the counter meds have had several studies done that say expired meds will be safe for many years after the best buy date? They may not be as effective but safe. The canned beans ive been told and reserched myself if stored properly will be fine for years because the way their processed it removes the toxins before their canned? Keep prepping stay strong 🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏
