Aloha. I love you two and your videos. It is on my bucket list to have an extended stay in Hawaii someday. But in the meantime watching your videos is like a virtual vacation, makes me smile and starts my day off on a happy note. And I absolutely adored your little song about the Hawaiian alphabet! Mahalo!

Thank you so much for your video! I'm 57 and love 💘 learning about Hawaii and the history. I was in Maui last month for 2 days and Ed (Hawaiian surfer who said was 62 but looked in his 40s) made my 1st Hawaiian sunset very memorable. I was alone because my son was with his fiance at their private rehearsal for their wedding the next day. Needless to say.....I fell in love with Maui. I've been manifesting for Maui for 2 years! Then early this year I gave up on ever seeing Maui, much less , live there. Now I'm hopeful for moving to Maui and take my remote job with me. Your videos help me solidify my decision. Mahalo lui noa

Hawaii is USA not Polynesia. Polynesia consist of different islands and they are far away from Hawaii

Re dogs -- Even if your dog is a CERTIFIED SERVICE DOG, you'll need to begin preparing the required paperwork and vaccinations and blood tests EARLY. So unless you're planning to move to Hawaii and don't mind leaving your dog in quarantine for five days (best case scenario, it can be up to 120 days) be sure to investigate well ahead of time. ❤️🐕🦺

The Thirty Meter Telescope project on Maunakea is still in limbo. Recently, the National Science Foundation (NSF) received a proposal to fund the project, after it failed to be built under its original funding. The NSF understands that potential construction of TMT on Maunakea is a sensitive issue and plans to engage in early and informal outreach efforts with stakeholders, including Native Hawaiians, to listen to and seek an understanding of their viewpoints. If NSF ultimately initiates a formal federal environmental review process, this advance outreach would serve as a precursor to it.

I'm eight months late here, curious if there's been any updates? I hope the telescope can be built without infringing on sacred land. . . I can definitely see both sides of this. . . I'm predominantly Polynesian but I've never (yet) been to Hawaii, looking forward to going!

On the bright side, it's easy to learn the Hawaiian alphabet! 😄 Also, Russian has an alphabet that fits the "A B C" song better than English, because English doesn't have enough letters and has to add, "Now I know my ABCs, won't you sing along with me." The Russian alphabet fills the whole, entire song! А Б В Г Д Е ё Ж З И Й К Л М Н О П Р С Т У Ф Х Ц Ч Ш Щ Ь Ы Э Ю Я

Where is there rabies anywhere in the US? They always require a rabies shot for pets but there are no rabies.
@Livingtheglobe3 жыл бұрын
In the US there are MANY stay dogs, (street dogs) not pets. Racoons, and other animals that have rabies. Hawaii has NONE, NOTHING, ZERO.
@zxyatiywariii83 жыл бұрын
I rescue animals and even if EVERY single dog could be vaccinated (even strays) rabies would still be extant in the skunk community (skunks are most likely to carry it) also in raccoons and other wild animals. I don't think it's possible to eradicate on the mainland.😕 Even bubonic plague is still on the mainland -- it's extant in some (NOT MOST) prairie dogs, and every year someone tends to catch it. Fortunately, bubonic plague is easy to treat here with antibiotics, as long as it doesn't become pneumonic or septicaemic. (I've had it and still have the scar, lol)
