Interesting. The worst airbnb I stayed in had a sliding door to the deck, which faced west, and no curtains on it. Also, you had to walk through there to get to the bathroom, and yes, there were sometimes people walking past the deck who could see in. There also were no hangers and no screen on the one window in the bedroom, so you couldn't leave it open. On top of all that, the hard water in the washer ruined some of my clothes. I've been pretty lucky that that was the worst place.

I actually had a delightful experience in Troop, Texas. The house was beautiful and spotless. All the lightswitches were labeled, so we knew which to use. There was a covered front and back porch. The owners lived nearby if we needed anything. On Easter Sunday, we were treated to the laughter of children egg hunting around the huge unexpected pond with a swing to sit in and enjoy the sunset. Would do it again there for sure!

We’ve really had good luck with Airbnb. Our last rental was a villa in Italy for the whole family where we had to have a 2000 Euro security damage deposit. We scrambled to get cash from the bank as his online deposit system didn’t work. Once there, I was told we didn’t need it. We got the euros with a bad % rate, but, there you are. There were holes in the carpet, doors dragged the marble floors. Faucets fell off the walls. Coffee maker didn’t work. Three guests left on Wednesday because there was no internet and I couldn’t get a hold of the owner. Paid $16,000 to rent. Owner was not there to greet us. Cleaning continued when we arrived. Luggage everywhere. No welcome at all. Owner was mad I gave him a three star review.

These places should be named and shamed so they either improve their places or saves other people from having to endure the horrors. The worst and most infuriating ones are where they have hidden cameras that they try to pass off as motion detectors, clocks etc. What kind of sick pervert puts a hidden camera in bathrooms or bedrooms where people do private activities? Disgusting! Not to mention the health and safety violations or plain rudeness and inconsideration of some of these renters towards their tenants. Best off to pick a reliable hotel with good reviews instead.
@AcuasАй бұрын
We all know most of those Airbnb are just scams, people that just want to make money out of it and don't really care, of course the ones with cameras should simply be illegal, if you rent a place, and find a camera, it should literally be a thing that you just call the cops, and whoever is the owner gets fined.

not an Rbnb but a room i visited in Québec city (450can$ a month) only one month ago I arrived at the front door, ring is visibly not fonctionning (not a real problem), call the owner (living in Montréal at 300 km away) to tell her i'm here to visit the room : "knock on the door" "already done" " knock harder" an old lady in pajamas open the door and imediately asked me my name and the reason why i'm here, my passeport etc...an odor of filth and tobacco (the house isn't supposed to be smoking allowed and....i'm in Canada, a place where cigarets aren't simply cigarets) the can is here to prevent people from opening the door without us noticing it (she puts a crushed beer can on the door knob) "you want to visit the room? ok it's upthere" nothing to cover the yellowish walls, the odor is clearly what i supposed) "it's this door" something is blocking the door and the door opens to a not finished room with a wardrobe decorated with 2 huge punch on the doors, the bed looks to have been use since weeks before the visit the beer can fell "who's there? " "don't be affraid it's only me, hey hi you're here to visit the bedroom, let me show him the house , don't be affraid she a little buit paranoid" "where's the kitchen?" i needed to be polite not to run through the door immediately "it's down there...ho you listen to Metallica? i learned to play guitar with their songs" down to the first rooms of the house an...autocthone is resting on an armchair visibly in another world (he probably smoked a cigaret before) dust everywhere but kitchen strangely....usable he opens his rooms door letting a cat geting out (the house is not pets friendly) and show me a 2000 dollars guitar to show me that he effectively knows how to play Metallica (he told me the price he paid for his guitar) "Where are the washing machine and the dryer? " " In the basement" We started to go down in the basement when i saw a siringe on the counter just near the machines...not white but, brownish and withe-ish machines...you understand, i started to have concerns about my survival chances "sorry it's from the guy we putted outiside last week" he took the siringe and start to speak with his hands we went back in the first room (where the native didn't move) when the can fell, i thought it was police "who's there?" "it's only us don't be affraid" a guy and a girl visibely on another planet came in the house "no you can't stay here, we can't have visitors (and the guy on the armchair is what?) he managed to put them outside and told me in emglish (yes because we speak french in Québec) : " if you find a better room, don't stay here" "thanks for the advice" the old lady came back to see us with her phoneand give me the phone : the owner at the phone asked me if i want the room or if i don't want i must go away "i'll tell you tomorow" (no i will run for my life) 450 can$ a month for a place like that? no thanks

Calling bs, Morel mushrooms DO NOT grow in showers. They're a delicacy in season here, I know what they look like.
@boredpeanutbutter75Ай бұрын
@somenamessdude8095• Actually, 5 years ago we had to move from an apartment we were renting because my neighbors hot water heater had been leaking slowly, and then finally flooded her bathroom, which was back to back with my bathroom, hot water heater and hallway. Because the owners didn't do a thorough check for all the water damage, my hallway and adjoining closet had water damage. Within a month or so, one of those exact mushrooms was growing out of the baseboard in the hallway. Toad stools, the little white capped mushrooms that grow in yards in some parts of the US, look just like white mushrooms, but they're poisonous. The mushroom in the video might look like a Morel mushroom, but it's not.

Tips are for personal services like, bring food, giving a ride, beauty salons and barbers, Then say I dont tip my apartment/mortgage owner for my domicile. Hotel room cleaners DONT OWN THE PROPERTY THEY ARE CLEANING. THEY CANT GO TO THE BANK AND SAY I WORK AT A HOTEL GIVE ME A LOAN ON THE HOTEL. they dont get the perks that a property owner gets.
