actually rotating an orb proves to be pretty useful in wave gameplay; if you rotate a blue orb by 45 degrees the hitbox better aligns with the gameplay. The reason searching for "1e7" resulted in an ID is because that is a scientific notation of a number, specifically the E notation. 1e7 = 1 * 10^7, which results in 10000000, which the game then interprets as an ID. Why RobTop implemented a scientific notation into the game? Nobody knows. Now that's a useless fact.

Doing something similar to G1g4byt3 on the Editor Tips video where I list everything wrong. Some of these I've gotten from other people, so I credited them in the comment (unlike Waboo) but I tried to come up with my own ideas/reasons. Let me know if there are any mistakes/crediting, though if I don't credit I likely found out on my own (but if you really want I'll still put credit) Also I wasn't looking for level/video credits, but if you want me to find all the videos or want to credit one let me know and I'll add it. Also yes I know other people did this too but most of them don't include every feature so I'll try to find a reason for everything here 1. Orbs will have different hitboxes when rotated, also unnecessary thing to remove (Ryder7223) 2. Decoration 3. No known purpose (That I know off, pablitoburrito4342 says its for a camera maybe?, also a better thing for this would be the numerous start positions that are disabled) 4. Changed after Robtop stopped(?) promoting Boomlings and Memory Mastermind, it's basically just Subzero, Meltdown, etc. but he hasn't put a reason why it's here 5. iPad and Mobile do not have close buttons so this is misinformation, some users (me included) don't play in windowed mode, so we do need this or the escape key function to close the game (Ryder7223 first half) 6. Not worthless, people have just found loopholes around it 7. Previously useless, but a recent update allowed this function to work correctly with there being more legendary and mythic levels being rated (Previously there would've only been like 1 so Robtop likely waited until there were more) 8. Not an ingame feature, just a level someone not related to Robtop posted for fun/likes (also this works just trust me bro) 9. Unnofficial Level so not included ingame. Also If I'm correct (Correct me in the comments), Geometry Dash doesn't have every character from every alphabet in the text files, so song names are either the same characters in English or just question marks (Ex. Codependance, Kuzureta) Also he explained this feature in the video on why the name is what it is so why is it in the video??? 10. Sellout (No one is buying) 11. Unintentional. Simple mistake when making the icon 12. Not an ingame feature. Just a kid being annoying, same as Thing 8 (Joke thing?) 13. Fun thing added by Roptop, also explained in video 14. Simple mistake by Robtop (Also I'm pretty sure some other levels are like this too?) 21. Leaderboards are already jank af, also leaderboards in some other games only go down a certain point (Ex. only lists top 500 players) and this is just Robtop's version of this 22. Not an ingame feature. Just hackers (I'm not gonna keep listing these lol) 23. Promo and old website so Rob just hasn't updated it in a while and hasn't removed it from menu 24. Most people won't think of this at first, you could also just delete the level/user/id with backspace. It's just there as another option if you don't want to go out to another menu to delete the id 25. Not even your idea (Or the rest of the video but at least he showed the name of who he got the ideas from) Also not an ingame feature. Just different creators/levels having different optimization, also xo is longer than both of those levels so obv it's gonna have more objects 26. Rob/some other playtester probably found some way to do that part upside down so made a fix for that (This is also seen in Fingerdash) (Or it could be from an old version of the gameplay that needed it and Rob forgot to delete it) 27. Why would the first comment HAVE to be from Robtop or some other person? That makes no sense 28. Not an ingame feature. Just some guy having fun 29. Not even IN the game, some other features were from players using in game tools but this uses Google Sheets. Why is this here???????? Also there are many lists of levels that people make (Like GDDP or NLW Spreadsheet) so are those just as useless? Also this list doesn't help or change anything so wouldn't this count as a useless list too? 30. No way a game has unused objects/features?????? This has never happened before! We must include this on the useless feature list 31. Not an ingame feature. Just someone making a custom level for fun. Also why would it being bad be part of it being useless? 32. Still exists. Some weird levels are out there so likely a parent saw thier kid playing one of them and asked Rob to add a parental control feature. Just because it's "difficult" to find doesn't make it useless. 33. This isn't even Robtops fault! Why in hell is this here? This is SOLELY because the song on Newgrounds got deleted or copyrighted. Rob only directs the songs from Newgrounds. He obviously doesn't make the songs or supply them himself. You still need to download the songs from newgrounds to work. Also there are workarounds with this by downloading the song off KZbin or someone who does have the song. Rob has no impact on this and when it happens there's nothing he can do. And he obviously can't just delete the song or supply it ingame as both options would be stupid. 34. So you can find the BPM of a song. The reason is literally in the name. Also this is in the editor too, NOT just main levels 35. YOU JUST SAID IT GOT FIXED WHY IS THIS HERE?????????? 36. All levels have LDM option. I don't know the exact reason but I'd guess it has to do with less lag when opening levels? Let me know if there's a better reason for this in the comments. Also the same thing can be said about Disable Shake 37. "It is useful however" Please don't make me explain this. Also outdated page is outdated. Guess why it doesn't work anymore. 38. 1) Old Twitter logo is better and more recognizable. 2) Would just be a useless thing to update. 39. Reverse trigger is the same thing but more simple. Also arrow trigger doesn't just move your icon back, it can move it in any direction. Reverse trigger only moves it back. People just found that they can do the same thing with arrow trigger along with having more options 40. Not an ingame feature. Or even in the game at all (See thing 29) Joke video. Also that's not even the video you showed? You just copied the same video twice (They were both from JustAGDPlayer and the xo video is from Exen) 41. What does this have to do with being a useless feature in Geometry Dash? Because Rob doesn't read his email much? Just because it's by the developer does NOT mean it's directly related to Geometry Dash 42. 42 things in and we find something that's actually useless. Even though it could just be Robtop not making the function work correctly. Recent tab with filters is already pretty jank 43. So achievements are useless now? If you're gonna have a game with as much customization as Geometry Dash with you having very little to start off with, you're gonna need a lot of ways to get those achievements. Also jumping is a very core part of Geometry Dash. Why would this NOT be a set of achievements? Also the achievement wasn't made with those levels in mind, it was made for normal levels, NOT exploits. 44. Math lesson! When "e" is used in an equation, specifically for this purpose, it can be used as another way to write x times 10^7, So for this example, the game likely reads 1e7 as 1 times 10^7, giving you the id thats 10000000. For any other number, idk honestly. Names with letters and numbers in them are pretty jank (see 1330X) 45. Bug in the game = Useless feature? Even one that Rob fixed? (see Thing 7) 46. Leaderboards (Especially in 2.1) were really messed up and even Rob knew that they needed to be fixed for the update. He was just waiting on 2.2 to fix everything in one update. 47. Bug in the game. For 5:18, there is an answer! The difference between the 2 objects, is they are both different, they have different object IDs. Also for the second object's colors, this might seem super small but he used the color picker and didn't use the RGB values, for the red value, he put 255, and for green and blue 250, even though it is small, it still means they are different because it is considered a secondary color and not pure white, while the first object was pure white and was considered a primary color. Edit: The HEX color for pure white is FFFFFF, while the second object's color (which is the different one) was FFFAFA, so that means they have to be different, so there are a lot of differences with these two objects, not just color, also this is just a trick because: if you replicated the same thing in Geometry Dash (like me) you would know that the object cant even change color, also he was editing the color on the FIRST COLOR LAYER, I call it that but you do not need to if you think I'm wrong, anyway, the first color layer is something that is used for every SINGULAR object color, so mostly you'd put the color layer on 2 if you don't want anything to be colored, and the pixel block and that one block was on the first color layer, also he said jdayjdaykdaykday.
