I was 9 years old. We were all playing ball in street. I’ll never forget the color the sky turned. We were just little kids but knew it was not right…

Pulaski county was hit by 4 F3s and my mom nearly drove into the tornado at night and lightening allowed her to see it and stopped. Got rolled over half a dozen times in a Camaro. I wasn't born for another 10+ years.

Looking at Brandenburg today, it's amazing how they rebuilt after that tornado. I have nothing but respect for people who are able to start over and rebuild after destruction like that.

I was four years old and I remember it vividly. About an hour before it hit I remember they sky being this dirt brown color. It just didn't look right. Then it turned very dark green and yellow. I saw the tornado at Eastern Parkway and Bardstown Road as it was heading into Cherokee Park. The thing was huge. It looked like that tornado that hit Tuscaloosa back in 2011 but darker and more powerful. I still see the tornado in my dreams from time to time.

Byron Crawford on clear channel kept us safe! Dick Gilbert’s broadcast was unforgettable. ❤ They built the I64 tunnels to save Olmsted’s specimen trees. They were destroyed.

I was 9 years old and sheltered in a well house outside of Elizabethtown. We lost our roof but was lucky otherwise.

I live in Tucson, Arizona but have relatives in Kentucky. April, 3 1974 my family was celebrating my late little sister’s 11th birthday, and she just had blown out the candles on her cake when my aunt called from her home in Pleasure Ridge Park. She and my uncle had nearly drove into it trying to get back home. Later that year my uncle who was pilot rented a Cessna and took pictures around Louisville and three days after . The water collection lake being sucked dry was impressive plus the damaged buildings. Thanks for your documentary video and have a great day!

No one listened to these weather reports back then. It was a little boy crying wolf deal. The weather guys were like today Oh my gosh! Looks soooo bad! I remember that day. I remember 2011. My home was hit by the first Andover tornado in 1991. I've been a spotter since 1975.
